I missed all the EV talk.
Technically I've missed about 99% of the posts for the last 6 months or so.
Anyways, they are literally giving away the Ford Escape right now.
Personally, I would only buy the PHEV (Plug-In) version.
I can't believe how much I love the car.
It zips in and out of traffic all over town and after about a month, I'm still at 95% of my first tank of gas.
Sometimes I use it in Sport Mode just to feel the difference in power.
I got mine for 31k out the door and got the one without the power moon roof.
Rather have the more standard version and not worry about leaks or gremlins.
If you haggle more, I wouldn't doubt that you can get them to 30 or 29k.
Or if you play the MaxPen game and get more discount, with financing, only to pay it off 10 days later, with no penalty.
This car is for city driving though, and 30 miles average per session IMO.
Yes, it doesn't have an AWD option in the Plug-In version, but you don't need that for what it is.
And to be honest, FWD is cheaper, better and has less maintenance cost and or breaks down far less often.
