I can make Chairman if I go play one more trip... Is there a big benefit between President and Chairman? I'm 65000 points away which is $130,000 coin in on VP.
Should I bother?

Heres the comparison of benefits:
Unless there are other benefits not listed here, they don’t seem much different other than a few token things that probably wouldn’t matter much to most people.

Damn, doesn't look like there are any dining discounts of any kind now?
I went through this exact decision back on 2019/2020. It was the first year after my partner had passed, so most of my VP play (I played less than when he was alive) was on one single card rather than spread out among 3 or 4. So towards the end of the year I was president, which I had always been on all cards, but was fairly close to Charman.
So there was a perk I was interested in. At that time, the time of buffets, President received half price buffets for 2 people. BUT chairman received FREE buffet for 2 people as often as you wanted. Plus the chairman line was a little shorter than president. So I went for Chairman, thinking if I ate for free just twice a week, it would pay for itself. Well March Covid hit and casinos shut down and when they re-opened of course no buffets. I totally got screwed on that one.
I pulled a Dan Druff and complained multiple times, at least once in writing, but much like The Rolling Stones, I got no satisfaction.
The insecure little man that posts as Mdawg is no longer worth of that handle. From this point forward he will be known as "turtle" in reference to his insecurity and small dick that accompanies such insecure, little men.
Are you sure about that? For VP, I see $1 coin in = 1 tier credit. (Slots earn at 3 TCs per $1 coined.) Maybe easier than you think?
I don't remember much about my status when I played there. Tier benefits are often hard to assess because you receive event invites or offers without knowing why. I think you should prepare to be disappointed, but give it a try if it's reasonably convenient.
Leading people a stray since 2003.
There really isn't much of a difference at all... I don't Valet and I don't do any catering...
Oh it is! I thought it was 2 for some reason... I didn't realize it was 1 for 1... This is a definite no brainer easy to do then... I wasn't planning another trip this year but I'll do it for this...
Can you provide an example of how much VP machine time is needed to make "Chairman"?
I'm having trouble understanding how a fulltime blackjack pro would have the time to make status playing VP, especially when his play is intended to generate and redeem freeplay, and he played less than he had in previous years.
According to the link provided, the status earning periods are 6 moths long, is that correct?
Status Credit Periods are:
JANUARY 1 – JUNE 30
JULY 1 – DECEMBER 31

I looked online and it was confusing but it is $1 VP for 1 tier credit
If you play $1 video poker where it is $5 per play. Each hand earns 5 points. I can play at least 40 hands per minute which would be 200 points a minute, 12,000 points per hour.
What I would do to just get points and have less variance, they have some 50 play machines.... Play $25 a push Bonus Poker, where you are earning 25 points a hand, This would require me to play 2600 hands, on this game it is a little slower, with the turbo button on figure 35 hands per minute so take me roughly an hour and a half.
I put on just over 200,000 tier points my last trip.
2400 hands per hour?
That is optimistic.
In this scenario, each individual hand is a 50cent bet, so each credit is 10cents...is that correct?
What BP paytables do you play? Are you finding 8-5BP on the 50-play machines, at 10cents per credit?
How about the $1 machines, where each bet its $5. Are you finding 8-5BP for $1 per credit?
I'm trying to estimate the theo to make Chairman, which appears to requires a $300K VP wager in 6 months.
How long did that take?
I play for a few hours two nights. I did play some slots too $10 and $20 a push... and I fast spin, I have no patience...
VP I only played a few hundred hands of $1 ($5 a hand) but mainly $025 3-Way Action which was $22.50 a push.
Wife wants to go on Norwegian so I'm going to get Diamond in a Day either this weekend or next at a Caesars property. $10 VP coin in for 1 Tier point there, so basically $50,000 coin in. Going to do it on a 50 play or even a 100 play machine there... It should take me a few hours.
To be clear you mean 2400 rounds (so fresh deals) per hour?
Yes, if you really want to set it up I would bet that you cannot maintain 2400 hph for one hour at what I would consider an acceptable error rate. Of course we would have to define that before hand and record to confirm.
But because it's not absolutely impossible you can do it and the information asymmetry is entirely in your favor I wouldn't bet all that much.
I guess I'll throw out $1000 at 1:1 and requiring 98% of perfect EV?
Also it has to be one attempt, or maybe we can give one free reset, not just endlessly playing and cherry-picking the best result.
Also gentleman's rules, can't be a machine that auto-holds or otherwise is not in the spirit of the wager.
Not sure I would take 1:1 on this...
It it was to be even money I'd want a little less hands per hour, like 2000... which is still 33 hands a minute.
I'd choose bonus poker for this... but there are some plays I make that are not "Perfect EV"... I may hold only 1 face card of a single suit like a Q rather than Q J Offsuit. I don't go for 3 to the straight flush with small cards but do TJK suited for example... 4 to the flush / open ended straight draws I definitely hold... 4 to a gut shot straight I won't hold if there are no picture cards.
My guess is you extrapolated from a very short period of play, like 3 minutes. But you get fatigued quickly playing as fast as possible, and also in such a small sample you might not get any difficult hands. And you might ignore the times it went slower.
WoV did a YouTube video about it I think.
So you hit that $6K+ progressive within a few hundred hands, right?
Looks like the game was 8/5 DDB. Did the progressive bring the game up to +EV?
I'm guessing no, if the reset was $6K.
Anyway, let this be a lesson to all the naysayer tewls out there...
Singer was right about everything, you can win playing -EV games and using special plays.
