I suggest you familiarize yourself with Section 230 of the 1996 Communications Decency Act.

Section 230 protects online platforms like this one from liability for third-party content posted by their users, allowing them to host content without fear of lawsuits for defamation or other claims.

free speech is a great thing when it means that anyone can criticize a Government Official or Government Agency without fear of retribution

but when it means when one person can call another person a male prostitute without any proof at all - slander -

then it's not a great thing

it's probably correct that a facilitator such as a forum provider cannot be held legally liable for slander such as this

but I wouldn't want to be such a facilitator

Apparently, Dietz is upset that I have stated that his wife bought the property or was responsible for the purchase of the property in East Bumble fuck, Tenn.

A while ago we had a discussion about a professional gambler getting a mortgage. As a professional player in Las Vegas I have been able to get two different mortgages. BUT this is Las Vegas. They understand there are people that make a living at gambling. That is not to say they are just giving mortgages away to anyone that says they gamble for a living. You have to prove that you have won for years. My first mortgage without many years under my belt, I had to put 50% down to get a mortgage.

So does anybody think other places in the country, least of all East Bumble Fuck Tenn is as progressive with mortgages to gamblers as Las Vegas? Dietz was able to purchase that house because his wife had a good paying steady job at the local university, NOT because he was a successful "tout". And if anyone thinks he paid cash for the house, cash from being a successful tout/gambler, he has never shown any evidence that he made much money. Kim Lee looking at all the records concluded Dietz may have survived, if he had someone supporting him, which he did.

Now lets just say my opinion, and that is all it was, is 100% wrong. That Bob Dietz, who doesn't seem to have a grasp of EV in relationship to sports betting, somehow made a ton of money and purchased that house. Big deal, my opinion was wrong. You can't sue someone over that on an internet forum.

But at least Dietz does have the support of Rob Singer, which is funny. You might remember in the discussion about my mortgage years ago, Rob created a sock puppet, Girl Friday (proven by Dan Druff) to claim that no professional gambler could get a mortgage. Rob and his sock puppet were proven wrong. But now flip flopping Rob, wants to take the opposite position...only because it involves me. Rob Singer is the joke that keeps on giving.

To win the lawsuit, plaintiff must prove the statement was false and damaging, and that it was communicated to a third party. The plaintiff must also show that the statement caused harm, such as loss of income or emotional distress.

Opinion is not defamatory, and you can post and publish opinions so long as you don’t not make untrue statements of fact, which is what you have repeatedly done.

First it is lame that Redietz, who started the rumor about me being a male prostitute that the trolls have grabbed onto, is crying about sue anyone for saying anything.

Second, it is an internet forum. I think it is shitty that people lie about someone and their spouse as these trolls do and not just lie, but nasty as they can think of lies. It is very small of them. But it isn't illegal, unless you are physically threatening someone and even that.....?

So we all have 3 choices. You can ignore such comments. You can fight back, fight fire with fire, but then you get into the whole, wrestle with a pig in the mud scenario, or third, we can walk away from the forum. I have chosen to fight back. You can't win, but there is some level of entertainment and satisfaction in doing so.

But as soon as people start talking about lawsuits, they are idiots.
