Everyone has their different standards and uses for hotel rooms.
Some people use the hotel simply as a place to sleep and shower, while others enjoy relaxing in the room for substantial periods of time.
I lived in Vegas for a long time, and don't feel the need to constantly be out doing something. I find it relaxing to sit in my room at night, look down the glittery buildings of the strip, and observe the dancing Bellagio fountains (though I do wish I could hear the music).
Also, my 6-year-old son loves seeing the fountains from the room, so part of the reason I do it is for him. When I'm by myself, I don't care as much about the view.
Anyway, the point of this thread was to highlight the lunacy of an employee noting the account that they made a mistake, rather than simply fixing the mistake.
