Actually it's not bullshit. I was at a table at Caesars Palace when a random shooter rolled 18 yos in a row. I didn't throw 'em. I didn't even bet on 'em. Neither did the shooter or his buddy who was there at the table. Just three of us. It wasn't the come out roll, and it wasn't the second throw, and there were just 18 yos in a row.
Now all of you people who say it didn't happen say it didn't happen because of the tremendous odds against it happening. But it happened. So deal with it, if you can.
I'm sorry I never put even a buck on the yo. But had I done it, with my luck, the shooter would have sevened out.
By the way, I recall on the WOV forum someone writing that if such a thing happened a reporter from a major media outlet would have reported on it. Well... guess what. I reported on it.
Emmy awards, Golden Mics, LA Press Club Awards, Janus Award... means nothing. Everyone calls it bullshit.
I don't know much about the reporting and stuff you do. But what media outlet or whatever do you work for? I thought you did "your own thing" on alanbestbuys and that was it.
Anyway, I don't think you have much credibility on reporting in gambling related stuff. You reported on Rob's special plays and all that malarkey. Expecting to be taken seriously after that seems rather odd.

The only guys that have credible AP knowledge on this site are 1- DRUFF 2-MICKEY 3-RS 4-ARCI 5-IBYA....the rest are all recreational gamblers or ploppies who think there winners....nothing wrong with being a recreational gambler (FABISMONTE)...it's the delusional gamblers like (SINGER) who give out bad gambling information...WISE UP !!
Rob, that "drunk who bought a bar and failed" was ten times the man you ever were. He was a World War II veteran who gained the purple heart at Guadalcanal. He came back from the War, went to work, raised his kids and everybody elses kids. Yes, he liked to have a few beers in the evenings. But so do you, Rob. So we now have this to add to your resume. Rob drinks beer but anyone else who does is a drunk. Typical Rob Singer bullshit. BTW, he sold the tavern for a healthy profit.
God, Ozzy, I hate the word "ploppy." Is that a UK thing? That's as bad as referring to sports bettors as "sharps" and "squares." People don't use that unless, like Jay Kornegay, it's a PR thing, and they're feeding chum to the people who think they're sharks.
Generally, if you use a lot of topic-specific jargon, you're trying too hard. But carry on....
Sorry for the mini-rant. I hate when people with alleged expertise rely on jargon to demonstrate said expertise. Or as one old English teacher said, "Usin' jargon ain't no bargain."

I know what I saw.
Belly and Singer awfully quiet lately....perhaps a little mid-week fornication excursion?....Just Sayin`
Yeah, journalists never lie....
http://www.politico.com/magazine/sto...ams-lie-114950
I'm not calling him a liar per say. I'm just making a point that it does happen.
I'd agree that there may have been an inordinate amount of 11's in a short period. But 18 of them in a row? No way.
If I had said that a 1 in an 18 chance of something happening had happened 18 times in a row, you'd all jump on me too!! I wouldn't blame you either.
What amazes me is that none of my critics was there to say I counted wrong. Every critic just says it's impossible. Well, it happened. And as I admitted over and over again -- I never made a dime on the event. Nor did the shooter, or his buddy at the table. There were three of us there -- and not one of us bet even a dollar on the Yo.
If you want to criticize me, criticize me for being a cheap asshole who never even bet one single dollar on the Yo. But don't criticize me for saying what I saw, including how the stickman examined the dice twice, and how we all stood there with thumbs up our asses.
For the record, I have no opinion on this. But off the record, I'm faced with the following ideas: While I believe it's possible Alan miscounted by one or two, it's unlikely he miscounted much beyond that. So I'm faced with what appears to be one of three options -- Alan is lying, Alan had some mini-stroke or health event that affected his perception or memory that day, or it actually happened.
But there is a fourth option -- namely that some non-random dice had been inserted into the game, and somehow they generated the yo(s). Why this would or could happen, I have no idea. But given the information at my disposal, it seems like an explanation that covers all of the bases reasonably well.
The coach is always right, but I don't know Rob Singer personally...I know him only as the character that he plays on this forum.
Alan has met the guy, considers him a friend, and has explained many times that Rob is not really the persona that he portrays on the forums.
I've seen the videos with Alan, and Rob seems fine to me, not nasty at all.
You seem to take him very seriously...you've even threatened to kill him...but your feud with him goes way back, long before I found this site.
I wonder...who started the shit between the two of you?
I know this much, when I first started reading this forum Singer was constantly being called a liar.
I read back through the older threads, and couldn't find anything Singer wrote that I would consider a lie,
so I asked "What lies has Rob Singer told?"
I was immediately attacked...called a sock puppet, a liar myself, and continue to be subjected to innuendo made by a bunch of immature insecure wormm fans.
You all bring Singer's name up because Rob Singer is in your head...that's obvious.
Keep making it up mickey. You have a toilet-bowl life, so we know reality doesn't flush very well.
You're nothing but an alcoholic who drinks because there just ain't much else to do when you're stuck in a hole like Montana with no money left after pouring the govt. handouts into the keno machines every month. So writing about drunks who buy bars and fail because they drink with patrons and perform illegal acts turns a bum like you on, but doesn't impress anybody with a brain or a sense of doing what's right. And now the barkeep is a WWII hero! Do you ever read the bs you put into print?![]()
I've never called Rob Singer a liar except when he's done some weird opining about me that he presents as factual. Rob's too careful a writer to out-and-out lie very often. If he provided actual stats regarding hands played and royals hit and all that, then people could take shots at him for being a liar. But Rob's posts read like the abstract of an academic paper. They are without the numbers, imply and state the conclusion, but provide no data. It's impossible to say an abstract is false without access to the data or the body of the paper.
Rob said he doesn't play deuces wild but posted a picture of a Royal he supposedly hit -- on you guessed it, deuces wild!
This is true, and this hasn't been explained... I don't think.
redietz, my count of Yos that day also matched the count of the dealers and the stickman and of course the two other players. We kept talking about it, and counting them one after another.
After my original post on the WOV I immediately contacted Caesars to get the video. And that's when I discovered that the videos are kept only for three days UNLESS surveillance is alerted to keep the videos for a longer period of time for some reason. At the time, no one requested surveillance to keep the videos so they were not.
James the stickman at the table retired shortly after. The floorman was not someone I recognized and never saw him again, nor did I see the other two dealers.
Frankly, no one really cared except in that moment it was amazing. Since no one cashed out a million dollars it was just one of those passing things.
By the way... this never made the headlines either. But there was a four hour roll at Caesars. Four hours. It broke the records, all of them. But I wasn't there and the info came from a pit boss. He said that during some technology convention, two conventiongoers were at a table during midday and one of them rolled for four hours. They were both $10 minimum players with passline bets and sometimes a 6 or 8. Four hours, no noise, no yelling, no attacting other players... and NO headlines, no media coverage, nothing.
Since I wasn't there to see it myself, I never reported it, but I think I did make mention of it once or twice on a forum and no one even took notice.
Shit happens.
