Thread: The final word on proving Dice Influencing

  1. #241
MisterV step back from this please. Let's not lose focus.

LarryS says there is deceptive information in the ads and specified one ad. I want to know where the deception is. I don't see it. Disagreement with the idea does not mean there is deception. Show me the deception and I'll put it on TV.

  2. #242
ITS deceiving to make people feel that they are ready to go gambleat a casino using the training they received for 3-4 hours prior.

Instead they should be told to go home and practice for hours and hours till they get results they are looking for..if they get results they are looking for. They should be told the chances of them being successful at what they seek

But these people want to be deceived....they want to believe in this ...they dont want to be told that the chances are shit that they will succeed. They dont want to be told the reality of needing to get a table and practice at home under casino type conditions. That 4 hours of training, and an hour of actual throwing doesnt make you ready for casinos. That your training by the time the class ends will still have you be a random roller untill you put in hundreds of hours of practice throws. And even then you still may only be a random roller when the dice leaves your hand.

LarryS your argument fails the deception test. If you think I'm wrong file a complaint on the FTC website.

    Yes, you are probably correct.

The standard to judge the alleged deceptive acts of DI seminar folks is probably akin to that which is applicable to churches, bigfoot expeditions and organized snipe hunts.

Notice that none of the DI promo videos promise that you will in fact become a winner; they weasel-word it so you come away with that notion without it ever having been promised.

who said I felt there is legal liability that would be worth reporting.

I just point out that these seminars wold gladly take money from someone with the shakes due to disease or med side effects. They will bring you to a casino an hour after you learn the methods without telling you that you need topractive hundreds of hours first to even have a small chance of being effective.

I agree...its like your analogy about playing an instrument. You go to an instructor and tell them you would like to newly learn to play the clarinet to the point where you can make money. And the instructor tells you from the start, "I will teach you how to play, and how to read sheet music, but then you need to buy your own clarinet rather than use the one I let you borrow for lessons, and practice 3 hours a day for many years,,,,,and only then will there be a small possibility that you can make money.""and if you have breathing difficulties/lung issuse, the clarinet may not be for you". Thats what a reputable instructior would say.

And if DI is even doable....a reputable instructor would say "I will teach you the sets and the tosses in class for a few hours, but you need to go home and practice on your own table for years, before you have a small chance of making money in a casino ". And if you have a tremor in your hand......you do realize that it negatively effects the precision of the throw...and this may not be for you".

whenever I have seen people complain that dice setting doesnt work for them, after learning the techniques....they always get told by the people who claim to be successful, that the person needs to buy their own table for the home and practice hundreds of hours.

But that does not appear in the literature. And I realize its up to the consumer to root out and find out for themselves. Just like when buying a timeshare the slaesperson is not going to tell you the obvious downsides to it. Everything is all peachy. And when buying an annuity, the salesperson is not going to lay out the excessive fees you are paying. If you read between the lines in the DI advert, the disclaimer can be read "there is no guarantee that this works" . They are covered, No crime to report. On the one hand they will teach you how to gain an advantage by tossing the dice a certain way, but there is no guarantee that you will make money from it. PERFECT.

Hey, Larry. Why don't you come up with a pharmaceutical mix that promises to limber up your dice throw? Say, non-narcotics without long-term side effects that allow for normal cognitive function. You could throw in something to give that enhanced sense of life that your buddy claims from pot.

At least, let us in on the medical physiological tells of nervousness, as in a poker game. Or how to thus read a blackjack dealer. Are there any mental exercises we need to perform to prepare ourselves in advance of or during these activities? Things only a doctor, nurse or trained pharmacist would know.

Obviously, plenty of students and others are a market in waiting.

No, thought so. But what is out there already?

I think I can come up with a "miracle elixir" that could help with the cognitive aspects of gambling when you drink it....and can also grow hair if you rub it on your head, while at the same time also being great as a gas tank additive for cleaning fuel injectors. my "out". in advertising......"results may vary"

It's like the guy that gets 5 sessions with a golf instructor for his birthday. He takes the lessons, then you see him on the course going through all kinds of gyrations before he swings, and he can't hit the ball for shit anyway. But maybe if he had practiced for long hours, he would show improvement.

A blend of PCP and horse tranquilizer is what the doctor orders for you, Yung.

You'll need to experiment with the formula until you get the desired blend of Heightened Expectation and Suspension of Reality.

    Be all you can be.

    Bad analogy.

No amount of practice will allow a crapster to beat the casino in the long run.

Sure, that hack Scoblete has fanned the fires with his silly tomes, and DI hucksters sweet talk saps into buying their snake oil, but in the end the final aribiters, the casinos, do not prohibit it.

of course its a bad analogy, but I gave alan 2 choices of what is possible. First...its totally unattainable. Secondly, out of the tens of thousands of people who have bought seminars, books, viewed the websites free info.....thare are 5-10 spread out over the world that can do it. Which means if you are at a table with a dice setter..you are 99.9 percent assuredly with an ineffective wannabe DI.

He chose the second choice...that there were 10 in the universe

I am willing to suggest that the casinos allow setting because its total crap, or because there are only maybe 10 people spread across the world that can do it....and they will gladly lose to them while winning money from the masses of random rollers that think that they are DI pros.

Either way, its a total sham, or a needle in the haystack proposition.100 percent unattainable or 99.9 percent unattainable.

what person in their right mind would invest time and money into something that at best is 99.9 percent unattainable.....at best.

beanie babies are quite a good investment as well.

Alan claims he has seen three "real deal" DI's rolling dem bones at the casino.

Alan is an investigative reporter, a known media personality in So Cal.

Alan has posted articles on his site about DI, and obviously is fascinated with the subject (as am I, but for a different reason).

Given the above: what steps did Alan take to talk to these Bone Arrangers in order to develop background and other information about them?

Did they attend a DI class?

Did they practice on at home craps tables for thousands of hours?

Or were they simply self-taught swinging dicks who read a bit about it and ran with it?

One would think he'd have followed up on this more than he did; had he really tried I'm certain at least one of them would have discussed it with him.

Once again Alan presents with a thundering lack of proof to support his claim, just as with the eighteen yo's nonsense.

Did the real deal DIs.....know how to address the dice?

I think that separates the real from the wannabe

By "address," do you mean "grip and toss," or anthropomorphically introduce oneself to them?

yes it would make sense for someone who writes articles, while they have found the rare white tiger, right in front of them....he wouldnt ask questions his readers would like to know...like how many hours of practice did it take him to get to this level. Did he buy his own craps table for his home. Who was his mentor/teacher. I would guess he would be willing to answer non financial questions. I mean he was right there.

Kind of like being right there watching 18 yos thrown and not once reaching into his pocket and throwing a dollar bill onto the yo. It doesnt make sense, And if it doesnt make sense....its usually not true.

LarryS it's you who alleged deception. Deception can be a criminal act. There is no deception. So choose your words carefully.

    It depends on context.

    Take "kill."

If I hate my Muslim neighbor and kill him, I get the electric chair.

If I am an enlisted man fighting overseas against a Muslim country which the politicos in DC hate and I kill a Muslim combatant I get a medal.

    Same act, different result: context.
