I just finished a 2 night stay at MSS and a 2 night stay at Fremont. I thought that some of you might be interested in how the comp system worked for me.

I only had monthly offers at MSS/Cal for casino rates, a little food with a booking, $10 FP, and an offer for a kiosk game with a stay during targeted week days.

Using my Sapphire calendar, I was able to secure a free M,T stay at MSS followed by W,Th at Fremont. I had to search the calendar day by day for each of the 3 DT properties. I booked a May MSS and Cal stay at the same time. I was not able to use my food offer. I was able to use the $10 FP. I was able to play the Kiosk game on Mon, Tues, and Weds BEFORE checkout. The low prize is a buffet or two. More typical is $25 or $50 in food credit, FP or sometimes pts. Because the food credit can (not sure) be a 24 hour expiration, I usually get them at night. On Monday I lost my entry because I waited to long. It expired at 10pm. The other 2 days were both $25 FP. In the past I have gotten $50 in points and food. I have known 3 different people who got a $100 in food, so larger prizes are not unheard of.
If you're playing and like buffets, 15 TC week days and 30?TC's for WE brunch will allow you to swipe for them at the kiosk before 3PM for same day use. I ate at the one at MSS twice. This may not work on Tuesdays.
Tuesday is senior day for 50+. 1 TC gets you a B/L buffet or a $5 voucher good through Thursday. 5 TC's gets you a prize of another $5 food voucher, $10 MP, or $2 worth of points. I did this at both MSS and the Cal. When I am really frugal I include Fremont as well. I can eat breakfast at Fremont and combine my $5 Cal and MSS vouchers for dinner at 777 brew pub.
On Monday, I was gambling bigger than usual (over 10k at the time I went for the comp) and was down several hundred dollars. I generally use these opportunities to ask a host for a Redwood comp. The MSS host was on break, but a Cal host wrote a $40 comp. Pro Redwood tip for IPA lovers is to wash your meal down with a Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA. I played more and lost more after the meal.
On Tuesday I had played around 6k and was up a few hundred. There was no host at either casino, but a Cal boothling called down a supervisor who gave me a $30 Cal Noodle House comp. You can get the Dogfish there as well. The portions are big and it turned into Weds dinner as well.
On Weds I played around 5K and was down a couple hundred. I pressed the service button and got a slot attendant, who called the slot supervisor, who gave me a $25 777 brewpub comp. The comp was good for 24 hours.
I took Thursday off for a Arts District brewery tour. I used my $5 vouchers for lunch at 777 and then returned there for dinner to use yesterdays comp.
The comps aren't written anymore. You request them for a certain venue, they are valid for 24 hours and they have to be used in a single setting.

Monday was Presidents' Day with a 11X multiplier and Tuesday was Senior Day with another 11X multiplier. I did my heaviest play on those days. Following some advice that Monet gave I decide to also play on a regular day. The points earned on the first 2 days was worth $140, Scratch cards over 3 days was for $111.

This isn't a TR but for those of you who need the context of gambling results I lost $1050 on Monday, Won $320 on Tuesday, and lost $200 on Weds. My experience is that they are much more generous with comps on days that I lose big. I suspect that Monday's loss also affected Tuesday's comp.

Table players have reported success in getting pit comps based on play, but I don't know how much play is required.
