When I went back to work, playing blackjack in December 2017, after my heart surgery, I had I believe 3 different casino personnel make some sort health "well wish" comment to me. Yeah, in that (very rare) instance, one has "found value." But for 99.9% of all events, "value" is not standing up and waving its hand at you.

An example is games where one of the teams got blown out the previous week. Since the general public thinks short term, Vegas supposedly takes advantage of this and shades the line beyond where it should be based on their power rankings, etc. I tried betting using this strategy some last year and it didn’t work out so well.Quote:

The problem is the line gets adjusted pretty fast for all the known variables that impact it, like going with the under for football games when wind speed is 15 miles or higher. This is a popular strategy that I know is probably overused.
I watched the line on a couple of these games last year and was surprised at how fast it moved when the weather became known. A good example is Wyoming, San Jose State last year. The weather was awful and the over/under dropped like a lead balloon. Even with the lower line, the game still went under. Since I didn’t think those warm weathered Californias would want to deal with that cold windy weather up in Wyoming I did all right on that game, with Wyoming comfortably beating the spread and the game going under.
I’ve actually done pretty well betting on MMA fights going with the favorite. Again, I’m betting more and winning less, but it seems to be working. I know this is short term and probably won’t hold up. I’m sure Vegas knows what they’re doing when they set the lines.
It’s been a fun experience, and it’s given me a new appreciation for how hard it is to win at this. I can see why people do it...most win just enough to keep trying. I keep pretty good records so I know I haven’t stumbled on any long term winning formula. I’ve lost for the first six months trying it, but I’m not betting big, so I haven’t lost much. I’m just in a trial stage at this point.
Like you said, it’s a lot more complicated than something like card counting. There’s not some majic formula that can make you a winner.

I have probably mentioned this in previous posts, but one of my trickerations back when I spent Saturdays at the Stardust was to stroll down to Circus-Circus. The managers and I were on good terms there, and they would feed me the weather updates as they happened. The Stardust, probably because they were incredibly busy on Saturdays (and also because at the time they generally did not move numbers until there was actual action), was slow to move totals on Saturdays. I'd get the updates at Circus-Circus, trot up to the Stardust, do the appropriate thing, then walk back down to Circus-Circus to take the other side and try to middle it, usually with a bias.

Quick note: I don't do straight wagering on college basketball; just futures. But it is considered the sport most likely to yield a profit to experts. So a legally expunged record may show up as not expunged. While it's useful for others to know about these things, it defeats the purpose of the expungement. And one for my son's wife and our two grandchildren while our son was in Iraq & Afghanistan. When he returned and she moved out we sold our home and moved in while waiting for delivery of our first RV. It arrived a month prior to the end of the apt. lease, and because we wanted to begin travelling full time I asked to cut off the lease a month early. I always paid rent 6 months in advance until our daughter in law left. But the apt. complex refused and I told them to stick it. This the famous judgement my friends here claim I was too broke to pay.
I also have another judgement no one's mentioned, and I'm really surprised. That first RV was bought on credit in 2011 for $135k. I never had one before so I decided to get a low-end one before stepping up. But....after two years it became a bad lemon and gave us nothing but trouble. So I drove it back to the lot and stopped payments. Simple as that. We then went out and bought the one we still have today for $1.5 million cash. I put a pic of that up also. Then we got a new small camper because of our multiple residences. However, since creditors can't touch SS and pension income or retirement accounts and because judgements allow personal property liens, both of those are in our son's name. Just as the houses I've bought in the last four years as well as the vehicles, albeit the houses were driven by inheritance. We live in all 3 of the homes at different times each year, and just like the enormous IRS tax code advantages I used to pay virtually no taxes on $984,000 in net gambling winnings from 2000-2009, I use every legal loophole available and wherever possible. But mickey prefers to say we own no homes, which is technically correct. Just as he chooses to say that this family doesn't live "in harmony" because of children's stupid divorces. That one's a big whopper.
Turns out however, that while all you big-deal "AP's" are out there scraping and grinding your lives away for relative peanuts, tell me exactly who here among us has successfully taken the most "advantage" out of the game that REALLY counts--the game of life? Even when we filed bankruptcy in 1996 to eliminate liability for a dumb mistake, it worked to our advantage overall because it was just another legal tool.
This is why I have to smile watching everybody scrambling around trying to find fault with my life. It's exactly as I've always said it was since the day I started my website. And it is unusual for a professional gambler. Name another who saved for retirement prior to a gambling career, and has been married over 40 years to a woman who's done the same except for the gambling. I know, it really doesn't set well with most of you. That's why mickey etc. would rather run with partial and fake facts than what's really going on. (What I think he hates most about me is my health :) )
Which leads to the final undeniable truth here. It's not a secret as to why most all posters use anonymous names. Everybody has dings and bumps in their lives, only the AP-mantra doesn't allow for anyone to see the real you because they'd be too embarrassed. I mean, it's obvious not everyone is as smart and resourceful as me. The jealous haters have been personally attacking me since my first book and first column came out, which I was prepared for. You guys never would be.
I saw arci's name evoked again. Well, I'm more than happy to see that because it gives me another opportunity to slice and dice the professional internet liar. As you all know, his wife was very ill, so as a serious ap-vp addict what did he do? Keep her comfy at home? Nope. He dragged her thru casino after casino non-stop making her worse, even moving to LV for a while. He just couldn't stay away from the machines. She died a horrible death. Then his "what goes around comes around" lies came full circle, as his son bit the dust. A true bit of karma payback. Oh, he's probably eating dirt now too.
What we'll now see is a few of you saying how it's all lies, or how bad a person I am for taking advantage of financial loopholes, etc. etc. etc. as you people begin to feel kind of stupid for wasting your time with all that petty stuff. Not everybody belongs to your gambler's clubs folks. There are other methods out there for those willing to work in their lives, then willing to comprehend the tools available in life.

If anyone doesn't believe arci's research or kewlJ's information, the appropriate response is to shell out the money for a private investigator's report. It's not going to cost more than a thousand dollars for basics, and it would save thousands of posts in the long run. The Argentino myth would be settled.
Then there would be "confirmed facts," as blackhole says. Or, wait, would blackhole accept a private investigator's report as "confirmed facts?" Interesting question. Would a report like that, coming from me, for example, be accepted if I refuse to post it, but am willing to share it privately with others? Would that work as "confirmed facts?" Or would blackhole only accept a private investigator's report assembled by someone he hired? Would he be willing to privately share that information with others regardless of what he finds? Would he post it, as he suggests others do? It would certainly be in the public interest, he would be doing a good thing - either protecting the public from nonsense or defending Argentino's reputation. And it would be a better use of money, APs would certainly argue, that just pissing it away to a casino (no insult intended; as far as I'm concerned, people can piss money wherever they want).
These seem like logical, reasonable questions to me. Let's avoid some "drivel responses," and see what the answers might be. And let's assume, for now, that I don't have a private investigator's report regarding Argentino. Let's also assume that Argentino's posting of the inside of a modest home, some modest cars in a cramped garage, and decade's old CB equipment were not attempts at being impressive, but simply his way of sharing details of his life.
Personally, I've never understood the importance of debunking Argentino's alleged millionaire lifestyle. Yes, it would establish him as a liar, but his video poker system is not mathematically viable, so who cares?
P.S. It's great that Argentino considers himself a big winner in "the game of life." Kudos on that all around. Some people might think that pushing a mathematically unviable system as a way to win at video poker disqualifies one as a big winner in "the game of life," but what do priests, ministers, and people who then use that system know? They're not winners in the "game of life," so screw them. I'd lump priests and ministers right in with APs "grinding away" as losers who don't understand how to win at life. Blackhole, you on board with that?
P.S.S. There is, however, a potential problem. Blackhole may read a private investigator's report and flip his stance and just lump Argentino in with APs as an example of why people cannot win. So before anyone invests any money in a private investigator's report, maybe I should pin blackhole down on the matter of his accepting that report as evidence that some APs here may be telling the truth in general. Otherwise, he's just pulling a coach belly "gotcha." I can see it now -- debunking Argentino's personal history turns into a rationale for debunking APs.

I was 25 steps away from dropping the guy, but my best friend stopped me. And that changed my life. For better or worse? I'm not sure. I could've have easily become Mick. Not that there is anything wrong with that IMO. I like the guy. In fact, I like almost everyone here. It was 28 years later for my next encounter with the same guy. In between was 25 years of living the dream which in all actuality was me living in a world of deception and me just being too damn stupid to realize it. I'm very proud of my kids. But that's about it. The accomplishments, the houses, the cars, I could go on and on. Mean nothing. I think what I learned from it all was "you learn about money when you save your first million. For years Argentino has been bragging about his fabulous, American Dream, private life. You know, all the toys he owns, homes, RV's, etc. He's living the high life while all us AP's are losers. This has been his main narrative for 15 years in the internet gambling forums. BTW, he's been banned from all the forums except this one. But as you can see from his recent posts he has no qualms not living up to contracts he signs. He nonchalantly talks about stiffing creditors like it is the natural thing to do. He admits to not being able to put anything in his name because of creditors/liens. Argentino's lies/sock puppets are legendary.
