Druff specifically is a poker player. And he has talked about some machine advantage play (mostly video poker). I have no idea what else he may do at an advantage (is his sports betting at an advantage?) or even what he may do outside of casino play for a living.

I personally have no idea how that works, because as am AP, getting a casino check and giving all my information to the casino is the very last thing I want to do. THE VERY LAST. So if Axelwolf was wrong about the casino check thing, and I am not saying he is, it would be because as an AP too, I would expect him to avoid that as much as possible.
But guess what? You know who does know about casino checks and how they work? Higher limit (long term) losing players! When they happen to hit something "check worthy" they can go ahead and request a check because they are NOT AP's. They are regularly -EV (long term losing players with a documented history of losing). So no real surprise Mdawg might know how that works, when AP's that mostly try to avoid that kind of thing wouldn't.
These things just aren't hard to figure out, just as I have always said. :cool:
Kewl has said many interesting and sensible things about gambling. My problem was when he we too far with the shuffler Cortez story. I took kewl as credible and repeated the story with credibility. While the manufacturer is not without blame, IMO, just as much blame lies with NGC. Probably not intentional or in cahoots or anything, just under-funded and under manned, especially with people with the kind of expertise necessary to handle all the advancements in technology over the last 15 years. They were just ill-equipped to handle it and approved some ASM's with this ability that they NEVER should have.
The following part is my opinion and I am aware it borders on conspiracy, but I believe when rumbling on this problem began to surface, (before I helped shine a light on it), instead of taking on the problem head on, I believe there was some kind of quiet agreement to sweep it under the rug. Had gaming acknowledged the problem and that they (possibly unknowingly) approved the technology, there could have been a class action suit involving any player that ever played against the machines (AP to ploppie) against every casino that employed those machines. It would have been worth billions and a black eye to almost everyone, casinos, NGC, manufacturer.
