Thread: Professional Sportsbetting

On the latest episode of GWAE, Capt. Jack talks a lot about finding and quantifying edges. He also tells how his clients with the Unabated software found and exploited basketball edges for over 6 million dollars in 3 months this year.

Capt. Jack, like all other noted pros applies the term EV to sports betting. But redietz says EV shouldn't be applied to sports betting. At least that's what he is telling us. But it's not us he should be telling it to. He should be telling it to the sports betting intelligensia.

Redietz was just in Las Vegas. Did he meet with Bob and Richard of GWAE? Why was a meeting necessary? I did 4 shows on short notice with no meetups.

If redietz is on GWAE he is sure to be controversial because his take that EV should not be applied to sports betting goes against what all the noted pros are saying. Capt. Jack and Rufus Peabody advertise their Unabated software, a tool that measures EV, on GWAE.

So redietz, if he reveals his opinion of EV on GWAE, is sure to ignite a firestorm. That's why I wish he would quit jacking around and just do the show.

Anyways, here's Capt. Jack on GWAE:

"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

I'm not going to repeat what I stated over at Gambling Forums. Suffice it to say that mickey has been completely wrong about my interactions with GWAE the last six/seven weeks, but I didn't correct him because, really, nobody's paying me to correct mickey crimm. No idea why he didn't just check with Dancer or Munch before blathering incorrect junk about me. I guess he prefers blathering incorrect junk.

Mickey also has a logical issue. He says he's not expert enough to evaluate what I have to say regarding EV, but he has somehow decided he's expert enough to know who the "intelligentsia" are. Not sure how you can not be expert but be expert as to who is expert, but that's mickey for you. I guess a Youtube channel is required or a cool nickname. Well, some people referred to me as "The Analyst" in college, but maybe that was a pickup line to help me meet psychologically damaged women. I was also called "Snake," but I might be confusing me with Kurt Russell.

You know, I could say I was in Who's Who in Sports Gambling before half of mickey's intelligentsia were born, but that's too much like Kirk telling Picard he was saving the galaxy while Picard was in diapers.

Someone have the courtesy to ask mickey how he knows what went on between GWAE and me. Like kewlj, he assumes much and knows nothing. Unlike kewlJ, I haven't bothered to correct incorrect blather every time it appears.

    Carry on, gentlemen. Carry one.

There you go again, mr. strawman. My statement had nothing to do with knowing who the intelligentsia are. It had everything to do with you explaining to the intelligentsia, whoever they may be, why EV doesn’t apply.

You’re to chickenshit to do the interview. Prove me wrong. By doing the interview.

Any Idea how many people that 6 mill was spread over, and at what percentage on average the Advantage was? I have had unabated on my list of things to do for the last 6 months, but I keep putting it off. I know there are REAL calculatable edges to be had there. No handy crapping involved.

All I know is what Jack said in the interview. The software was free until recently. I think they did that to prove it works.

Yeah, I knew they were going to start charging(I heard a lot). Guys did well using it thus far. The need for Handicappers will be a thing of the past in 10 years.

I have zero qualms doing any kind of interview. You know that. So why are you bullshitting people on multiple forums?

    Axelwolf,

I was very disappointed that you didn't make an appearance, camera if you wanted, at either South Point or Oscar's, for my EV speech and other questions. I actually half expected you.

Of course, I have no way of knowing if you actually did make an appearance to verify that I was there, since I don't know what you look like and my face was in a newspaper the majority of the time (and watching the Lakers game at Oscar's). But as I left, I did check the line at South Point and the folks entering Oscar's in case anyone might fit the bill as monet sort of described you.

Redietz, how does your resume stack up against this guy, Rufus Peabody. He's one of the developers of the Unabated software:

According to redietz you're not allowed to refer to sports betting markets as markets.

    Stop it Rufus!

    from the article:

"Most of what Rufus and his team want to bet are unders, meaning players will get fewer yards, or points or tackles than the totals set by the bookmakers.

The public, however hates unders. We don't want to bet that something won't happen. We want to bet that something will happen. We like to bet overs.

Which means that by game day, and really the closer to the game the better, the bookmakers will move the lines ever so slightly up, to try to attract some action on the unders.

For people who want to bet overs, Rufus says bet early. If you want to bet unders wait as long as you can.

'I basically want nothing to happen,' Rufus says."

Well, don't go halfway, mickey. Answer the questions.

    1) Did I contact GWAE in a timely fashion?
    2) Did one of the GWAE principals think it was a good idea to meet with me in person before any interview?
    3) Did I contact GWAE when I was in LV and make myself available multiple times on multiple days?
    4) Did I express any concerns regarding any interviews (other than telling Munch I do better with a cup of coffee)?
    5) Did I provide links and articles to GWAE regarding who monitored me for years and various publications in which I've appeared and links to some high-end Las Vegas contests in which I participated?
    6) Did I conduct myself at any time in a less than professional manner?
    7) Was mickey crimm's characterization of my behavior and interaction with GWAE wrong?

You know, mickey, you need to wake up and smell the coffee. I don't know the precise relationship between GWAE and the LVA and Huntington Press, but if there is a strong relationship, why would a business provide a platform for someone to debunk certain of its own aspects and authors? Especially if the person doing the debunking has a serious reputation?

The oligarchs of Big Gambling Publishing were never going to let redietz deliver his 30 minute expose of the concept of EV.

Can you imagine the shockwaves that would make through the gambling world? Publishers would have to scramble to recall and edit their works to replace the phrase 'EV' with redietz' as yet unidentified alternative. Hundreds of dollars could be at stake.

I'm surprised he made it out of Las Vegas without being car bombed.

Smurgerburger, I'll be back in LV in July. Maybe before then, also.

You're more than welcome to sit down and interview me with cameras rolling. Let's see if your brains match your snark. I'm a big fan of snark, but at some point you gotta mix it up a little with brains or you run out of cred.

What I love is smurg not acknowledging in the least that mickey completely misrepresented the GWAE interaction with me. Good job, smurg. Stay honest, baby!

I'm on hiatus from you geniuses until then. I'll post when I'm going and where I'll be publicly available.

    Don't take any wooden nickels.

Why can't you answer one simple question? How you did arrive at the ROI numbers on your website without the concept of EV ?

The fact that you won't answer is just another reason why absolutely no one with any gambling knowledge should begin to take you seriously.

    And they don't.
It is official. Redietz will never be on Dan Druff's podcast. "too much integrity"

How long ago was the decision made ditz? 5 weeks ago? 6 weeks ago? All this time you let everybody think you were going to be on? To chickenshit to tell anyone? Dancer has been incommunicado for at least a week, lengthy cruise thru the Panama Canal. He told me he would be out of contact. The decision had to have been made before he left.

Are you now accusing GWAE and others of covering up your theory? I'll let them know. But here's a little secret for you. Dancer also believes that sportsbetting EV can't be measured. But Dancer is used to calculating precise edges, down to the 4th decimal. Sportsbetting EV only has to be ballparked/estimated.

So why would Dancer shut you out if he believes the same as you?

You still never answered the questions of whether the EV is better on a 3 point middle than a 2 point middle. People see right thru you when you avoid stuff like this.

Well that's the nice thing about all those "bonuses and other things that won't last"(Even though they have been around for over 20 years and have even gotten better) You can calculate your EV and just flip coins for picks. If by chance you can find good picks then you're really in for a treat.

Paying for services that handicap picks is totally retarded, outdated and those cappers are unneeded. You can get proven +EV picks for free or pay for something like unabated.
