The problem, in a nutshell, can be seen if you simply check what percent of ad revenue for each news channel (MSNBC, CNN, Fox) comes from pharmaceutical companies. That's the big, obvious tell. Here's a quick piece PRE-Covid. It's gotten much, much worse. Look up the POST-Covid info yourself.

The US and I believe New Zealand are the only countries allowing pharma ads on television to these degrees. Do you remember MSNBC's Rachel Maddow declaring multiple times on live TV that if you had gotten the Covid mRNA shot you couldn't spread the virus? Holy mother of declarations. You can't say stuff like that. Even something like the rubella and smallpox shots don't have guaranteed blanket effects (they have mid-90-percent effects, I think). The major news media has been, as they say, "captured" by an industry. As have the regulators, who receive more than half their working funding via fees from the industries they "regulate," which is radically different from even 30 years ago, when the federal government provided the vast bulk of the funding.
Perfect storm for a mess and a boatload of propaganda.
Here's a quick POST-Covid update. The percent figures are frightening:
