Some people run forums or other online communities as a form of a power trip. That is not me. I do not enjoy exercising power over others. The only reason I like running these forums is so I can shape them to my own preferences to how I like to see them run.

It's also important to see that this forum is NOT monetized. When I took it over from Alan, I did NOT continue with the "Google Adwords" he had going here, nor did I seek out any other form of advertising.

Admittedly the expenses to run this place are very low, because I do all of my own tech work, and the server is the same one as PFA, so it's basically the cost of the domain registration plus my time.

Still, most of these forums have some kind of financial motive, and mine do not.

Rather than bitch about which rules are enforced and which aren't, it would be nice to see that I'm running this place just to continue a longstanding, offbeat AP community. I'm not gaining from this site existing. I don't want or need pats on the back, but it would be nice if the complaints were minimized.

It would be nice if the complaints were minimized? Well it would be nice if the trolling, especially the completely made up lies about people inclduing accusations of criminal activity were minimized as well. Just saying...

Maybe you should change the sticky thread from Forum rules to forum suggestions. You could throw in I suggest you all love one another and treat one another respectfully. lets see how THAT suggestion goes.

With all due respect Todd< i appreciate the forum, which is why I remain. But you are overboard with this freedom and free speech stuff. Free speech has restrictions. You can't yell fire in a crowded building for example. And as we have seen this spring with Mr Trump, you can't just lie and make up things about people without being found libel.

Singer was banned (for 6 months for racist comments. Now those same comments (even some by me in response) and the equal homophobic comments are made and tolerated every single day.

Moses was banned for physically threatening me and threatening to find me in the real world. Similar has occurred since, including Redietz just last week.

Blackhole was banned for doing "nothing but trolling, contributing nothing of value ever". Do I even need to say there are many others in that category.

I am not calling for anyone to be banned. But there has to be some consistency doesn't there? People should KNOW what the rules really are. This utopia idea of let things run themselves and everything will work out just doesn't work. It never has in thousands of years.

Is it really too much to ask you to identify sock puppets? Not the fun <- kind of socks like Garnaby, but the serious accusations like that Positive Vraiance or the new account DaveDantry are me? That just isn't fair to any of us.

I don't know where today's Jexposed or the somewhat recent Zenking's Dad socks come in. Somewhere between fun and bad intent. But should'nt we know who these are (officially)? If you are giving a green light to sock puppetry, then we are headed for a whole new even lower (who knew it was possible) level of trolling.

I was banned for about a week on here for not paying a Lottery bet I had lost. I was so sure my lottery numbers I predicted would come through in the next two weeks, only for them to come through in the THIRD WEEK. I hemmed and hawwed and Dan said something like,"Because Tasha has not paid the $100 bet she was free rolling, I have banned her." I was stunned that a fun lottery bet ended up causing me to be banned from VCT. On WOV, I sent Axelwolf a $100 Amazon gift card to give to Dan to settle my lost lottery bet. Axelwolf sent the Amazon gift card to Dan and Dan reinstated me. Let's just say my love for lottery free rolls went down drastically after that. I did literally only a couple of more lottery free rolls(One of them was a $250 free roll! ) after that and then permanently stopped doing them.

I got Suspended for about three weeks for making the Cookie Monster Sock in 2019 or 2020 and Dan warned me if I ever made another Sock, it will be a permanent banning. So my last VCT Sock is at least 4 years old.

Sensible input and explanations will not stop kew from whining. He only wants things his way so he can continue making shit up and be believed without anyone questioning or doubting the veracity of his silly claims--and more WILL come. Listen to this F-ing moron. Rob you don't KNOW any BJ professional players and certainly have never spoken to one about their career.

There aren't that many professional type only blackjack players around anymore. Not like there was only 10-12 years ago. But if you did know and talk to one you would find their career path and experiences was very similar to mine. There was a whole rash of card counters that started out just about the time I did or just after, in the mid to late 2000's. If I had to guess, I would guess it was because of the two books and movie "21" about the MIT blackjack team that came out in that period.

But I have talked to many over the years and even heard a few on GWAE that all had amazingly similar careers and career path as mine, most staring out underfunded and building a BR to be able to play bigger limits. Almost all to a Tee, experienced the same kind of volatile variance as I have experienced at times. That extreme variance is a result of the games during this time. It takes a bigger spread to beat these games and a bigger spread and bigger top bets means at times you experience losing streaks or periods when you lose most of those larger wagers. That is why I have tried to impress on newer players that you MUST be able to handle the swings both financially (large BR) and mentally. Not everyone masters that.

And most have experienced at least the level of heat, backoffs, barings, and more trespasses than I have over the years, simply because I made that my top priority. About the only difference in my career and path compared to some of these guys is that I chose Las Vegas, to live and for most of my play, where as most others chose to travel more. But everything else, right down to money made each year, including back offs and barings, is very similar.

If you don't believe me, ask mickeycrimm or anybody that listened to GWAE regularly because the last half dozen years of the show, they seemed to have some card counter on every month, and most had very, very similar careers in every way to what I have had. And don't even think that I copied them, because I was at it longer and slightly before most of them.

So, as usual Rob, you are just talking and trolling out your ass about a subject matter that you know nothing about. Stay in your lane old boy! I have no idea what that lane may be....maybe how to live your retirement years off your kids.

The KewlJ Edge makes every forum he graces a bottomless reservoir of gambling experience and wisdom. He wafts through the tables of Las Vegas like an anointed ghost, never actually in the flesh, meeting anyone real, but always present as a kind of Holy Spirit. He's actually healthy enough mentally to not desire to use his power on this dumb crap. You contrast this to other places but it really isn't comparable. I don't believe for a minute there was any conundrum for him
I believe he either didn't see the post of if he did see it he could care less about it
just as he could care less about others who are not gay who used the n word

but the answer to your question is a very simple one
if there were rules and they were enforced no one would be allowed to post outside of the rules just because they are gay
just as a gay person cannot righteously claim he's immune from being charged with a crime because he's gay
the idea that there are lots of organizations or people out there who are interested in protecting gay people when they do something wrong is a ridiculous one
