Well there most certainly is, but the reality is I go out of my way to not make that known. So I must be doing something right. And I am quite sure that directly correlates to the longevity I have achieved.
Look, I guess I can talk about this now since it has been almost 20 years. I got involved with a team back in Atlantic City. I have never spoken much about that because there are people that even today, know members of that team and I don't want too many people knowing me from that experience. I only got involved with that team because after 3 years of trying to build my bankroll from scratch, I wasn't really progressing. At least not like I wanted. It is hard to grow your bankroll when playing red chip AND taking money for expenses.
So when the opportunity to join this team and play at bigger advantages, and off a bigger bankroll, and make some real money which would bump my bankroll....I took it. But only for a short time. I knew association with a team like that would not be beneficial to longevity. And I think I was proven right real quick. While I was only with that team for a short time, and was not associated with them when the big "bust" occurred, I beleive....can't prove it but believe, that my just being associated with them is what lead to end of me being able to play Atlantic City. Almost immediately counter-measures were being invoked.
So you wont convince me, a solo type player, that associating with other players is a good thing. Maybe it is for machine play or those looking to team up or partner up, but not for a solo type player. And that is always what I have been.

And I am quite sure that directly correlates to the longevity I have achieved.
