Yea, I know, you’ll ignore this comment.

What source are you using for this "half his wealth" comment? Both Forbes and Bloomberg has lists of billionaires worth each year and both have reported that Donald Trump's net worth has more than doubled in the last 12 months? And all of that has really occurred in the last 6 months since the election. Are Bloomberg and Forbes liberal rags not up to your standards?

I had a great year last year mickeycrimm. My top 2 years ever. But guess what? I didn't come close to doubling my wealth. Maybe it increased 10%...haven't figured it out. And I strongly doubt any other member of this forum has doubled their wealth in the last 12 months. I hope you had a great year as well, mickeycrimm. But if you did, it was due to mickeycrimm and his hard work, and had little to do with Donald Trump.

You can say whatever you want but this increase in Trumps wealth was due to the presidency. He is literally selling the presidency and access to the presidency. There is an argument to be made that all presidents have done this to some extend, but not like this guy!

You can admire Trump. Agree with his political positions, immigration and so forth. You can admire his business model (I don't because I know or knew people hurt by him when he didn't pay what was owed). But deep down you have to know that Donald J Trump does what is best for Donald J Trump. Not for anyone else. And always has!
Check his wealth for the past ten years, not 1 year.

I just checked. Forbes had Trumps wealth at 4.5 billion in 2016 and down to 2,5 billion in 2021.

Trumps businesses are in a blind trust. He has no business dealing. But easy enough for libtards to lie about it.

I am not going to, nor want to fight you mickeycrimm. If you think Trump is really good for the country and doing things that benefit everyone, rather than himself, good for you. I would like to know what he has done that has been beneficial to you, but really don't even answer that. It's not important. Peace to you my friend.

Its not about me. Its about my family and extended family. They are just working class people and deserve good paying jobs with reasonable living expenses. The dems are now about the poor and the rich. They dont give a rats ass about the middle class. Trump is pushing no tax on tips, no tax on overtime pay, no tax on SS, car loan interest deductions. Thats huge for the working people of this country. The bill got thru the house without a single democrat vote.

So your talk that Trump is just for himself is bullshit.

Do you ever google anything, buttfuck? His blind trust was all over the national news for weeks.

No tax on tip, no tax on OT pay, no tax on SS. That is all great. No doubt a financial bump for the working class. And who is paying for that? If you take in less taxes, then you can't pay for everything without the deficit going way up. And that is on top of Trumps Big Beautiful bill.

So who is paying for that. Well future generations for one. But there is another group more important to me. That is my mother. And you mickeycrimm and everyone else on Social security. Social security is projected to hit that point that they can't pay full benefits in 8 years. 8 YEARS! When my mother moved to Vegas in her late 50's she had a pension from decades of being a teacher. But it really isn't enough to live off of. Not until SS kicked in. My brother and I didn't want her to start to collect as soon as she was able. We wanted to wait until full benefit age, so we subsidized here for a few years. She has now hit that full benefit age, and just started getting here Social security. I want her to get what she is entitled to, not a 30% reduction because the SS fund has been exhausted.

Oh and these no tax things that your boy Trump has proposed. That means no social security tax either and the fund will run dry even earlier.

So, NO, I don't want my mother paying for a tax cut for working people. The deal has always been, you work....you pay taxes.

You had 4 years of Biden to complain about the deficit. You passed. Dont start now.

The middle class has been ignored for decades. You want to continue to ignore them.

SS was supposed to go broke 40 years ago, then 30 years ago, then 20 years ago, then 10 years ago. Its didnt happen because adjustments were made when it became politically necessary. Adjustments will be made again when its politically necessry.

PS tax cuts cause revenue to go up.

"Donald Trump's assets were placed in a revocable trust, not a blind trust, when he took office.
    .
    Trustees of the Revocable Trust:

Donald Trump Jr.: Trump's eldest son.
Allen Weisselberg: The Trump Organization's chief financial officer.

Important Note: This arrangement differs from a blind trust, where the beneficiary has no knowledge or control over the assets. In Trump's case, the fact that the trust was revocable and managed by his son and a long-time employee of his organization raised concerns about potential conflicts of interest." ---per google AI

Kew, when you're trying to discuss your lack of knowledge about the tax bill, don't be relating it to how it will or will not affect your fucked up family; open up your little mind to what it means for the normal ones.

History already has proven the effectiveness of Trump's tax bill during his first term for the middle class, which was very effective in correcting 8 years of Obama's mistakes. Then Biden--or whoever was directing the stiff--brought us a financial disaster. And now, we all should be thankful that Trump's bill will get things back on track.

    Really?

I guess then I got real lucky as my portfolio soared under Biden.

I can't say the same about Trump this term.

What is Trump doing that is beneficial to me? He just told pharma they have one month to bring US drug prices in line with what they charge the rest of the world or he will do it by executive order.

The biggest effect for me is two drugs i take, Eliquis which costs americans $7100 a year but in other countries they pay $700 a year, and Jardiance which costs 11K per year in US but only 1K per year in other countries.

You really need to keep up on current events.

    Current events?

Another court ruled against him, saying he lacks the power to do what he's trying to do, i.e. usurp the power of Congress as well as the judiciary.

Of course the USSC will be the final aribiter.

    Stay tuned...

Hmm. Anyone else think that 10 years prison sentence was incredibly lenient for a Robbery and a Murder? I feel the sentencing should have been the equivalent of at LEAST how old he was when he was tragically Murdered over money. He was 25. The prison sentence should have been at LEAST 25 years.

A Woman who accidentally killed someone in a DUI accident is serving a 50 year prison sentence and that was a PURE ACCIDENT. Surely purposely robbing someone and purposely Murdering someone should be a much harsher sentence than 10 years if a pure accident killing is worth 50 year prison sentence. What a complete injustice that his Robbers and Murderers only got 10 year prison sentence.
Take comfort in the fact that no one is actually backing up his wishes to have you permanently banned.

The left wing lost the election bigtime so is using the courts to stifle Trump. SCOTUS will nix all those lower court abuses. And that exactly what they are, abuse by by the left wing lower courts.

I disagree Mickey: some of the judges ruling against him were appointed by republicans, in fact Trump his own self appointed a judge who basically said "You're full of shit, bozo, get the hell out of my courtroom."

Ain't lawfare, it's checks and balances...you know, like in the Constitution, that thing Trump uses as TP for his bung hole.

Trump may have a tough time keeping Roberts in line as he seems, dare I say it, willing to do what the law and not politics mandates.

More or less agree with mickey on this. Will wonders never cease?

Since "the power of Congress" and "the judiciary" are currently not opposed to Trump, all of this is just friction as opposed to a roadblock. I guess maybe they're hoping another shooter or two magically comes out of the woodwork and takes a whack. And then has their homes scrubbed clean.

Speaking of which, has it occurred to anyone (since this is ostensibly an LV forum) that the LV shooter from Mandalay and the Trump PA shooter had remarkably scrubbed residences? Must use the same cleaning service. I guess there's a strong psych eval correlation between going out in a public space amidst a gory splash of glory and wanting the home you leave behind spic and span.
