Sounds like a bunch of old men talking here, and I'm no youngster myself.
Maybe The Wizard of Oz at the Sphere doesn't appeal to you, and that's fine. I find it interesting to have a classic movie on a huge screen surrounding me, combined with effects which make you feel like you're part of the action. Most people who have been there have really enjoyed it.
At my age especially (53), it's foolish to worry about catching viruses when out in public. Let's say I get a cold or flu. So what? Sucks for a short period of time, then it gets better and I'm fine. I'm not going to hide from life in order to avoid that.
My parents are over 80. They put more care into avoiding situations where they can get viruses than I do, because they're at an age where the flu can be deadly. But they still go out all the time and do things. It's dumb to resign yourself to staying away from public venues.
