Which I guess came about when some counter made an issue with gaming? So this would be possible in other jurisdictions that this system exists but Kewl is exploiting this ruling in LV and happens to be one of the reasons he stays in LV.

This has nothing to do with why I am in Las Vegas or stay in Las Vegas. I am not sure how much of this case I even knew before I moved to Las Vegas in late 2009. I probably was aware of it, but playing in Atlantic City it didn't involve me or anything I did.

The reason I am in Las Vegas is because after starting my career in AC and playing AC while living in Philly for 5+ years, I had worn out my welcome in Atlantic City. AC can't bar players like Vegas but there are counter-measures that they can and do deploy, like cutting the deck in half (horrible penetration) and bet restricting which they put on a player that just about makes play not profitable. 2009 was my fifth year in AC and I had increased stakes and by summer of 2009, I was being bet restricted almost every time I sat down.

What that means is you sit down at a $25 table hoping to spread to say $200 or $250 (I think that was my spread at the time). And they pull out a card that says minimum wager $5, maximum wager $50. The law required them to allow a 1-10 spread so they went as small as they could even though it was a $25 minimum table. These special limits only applied to me and whatever other card counters they used this tactic on. You couldn't make any real money at these limits so by fall 2009, I was looking to relocate.

I had a couple options in mind. One was to relocate to Las Vegas. the second was to buy a car and travel a bit, gulf coast, midwest, which at that time was all the rage with games at Indian Casinos that looked great on paper, but in reality weren't (cheating involved). Had I done the travel things, I still would have ended up in Vegas after a period, so I decided just to move to Vegas. The appeal of Las Vegas to a card counter wasn't the best games, but lots of games in close proximity. So I devised a plan of attack for that high volume of games, so as to not make the same mistake as AC and achieve some longevity. Short sessions and move around a lot.

THAT is how I came to be in Vegas. And I stay here for the same reason. It worked better than I even imagined. I know the laws here. I know what I can get away with and how to play to be welcome. As a matter of fact, during my time living and playing Vegas some of my problems occurred while on out of town trips. I am better off just playing where I know the rules (and I am not talking about the rules of the game itself).

I am really thrilled with how my 16 years in Vegas has gone, and I don't think I could have come close to what I have achieved anywhere else. If you want to surf for a living you move to California, or Florida or Australia. If you want to ski for a living, Colorado or Vermont. If you want to count cards for a living you move to Vegas. Just ask ZenKing.

I'm not a close follower of MDawg but I looked it up and he began posting his adventures on WOV on Nov. 5, 2019.
I believe he's had somewhere around 12 trips to Vegas since then which he has documented.

Could someone who is very good with math help me out here?

Anyway, so those are two things to think about - quitting while you are ahead, and not chasing losses.

Then I played that 4K on another hand a bit later, lost. Another 1K call bet, lost. I had them print it to ten. So now I had $9000. in front of me and owed the casino $9000. for this session.

I played some more, but by the end of the second shoe or maybe at some point in the third shoe, don't quite recall, I had lost that second marker too. Now down $18,000. I asked the pit boss for another $10K
