Sure. "Vultures" was a term Dan Paymar used to describe some a type of machine pro back in the nineties. It basically means exploiting a short term positive situation that was created by unknowing or uncaring players. I put up a screenshot in the road pic thread of a UX play and called it huge as a joke that I figured the other AP's might get a laugh about. It's because it's the smallest UX play you can find, nickel denom with one 2X multiplier.

So in the screenshot you can see it says "next hand 2X" next to the top hand. That means the prior player hit a high pair on the top line then either cashed out or changed games leaving that multiplier there. On that machine there were three denoms, and triple play, five play and ten play to look through for multipliers left by prior players. I always start at the lowest denom and work up.

You can see I set it on a 5 coin bet per line before I took the shot. The game was 7/5 Double Double Bonus, a real bad game, 95.7%. But with that multiplier up there the payback is much better, at least for one hand. The two lower hands are at 95.7% and the top hand is at 191.4%. Add the three hands together then divide by three and it's a 127.6% play. That is, for one hand. You just play that hand off then keep looking for multipliers on up the scale.

So that's what vulturing is, looking for short term positive situations left by the ploppies.
Wait a second????? I think the photo on this machine shows that this machine was not abandoned. There are still credits on the machine, and I think that this means that the machine is still in play and it was not cashed out by the previous player. Had the machine and the multiplier been abandoned the credit meter would read zero, wouldn't it????
