Thread: Is Sports Betting AP Play?

Not an uncommon theme. So common, it deserves its own slang -- maybe "Philosopher Loser" or "Philo-Sore-Loser" or "Winner in Life," the latter taken from the recently fired coach of the Tennessee Volunteers.

Nice post there, Mickey. You can count to 29. Go take some more hazy pictures of casinos in the middle of nowhere.

You really think he's out there card counting blackjack??? Excuse me while I LMMFAO!!!!!!!
I'm glad that you really like Kewlj card counting his way to millions.

BTW, I didn't use the words CARD counter. You're putting word(s) into my mouth. Counters may refer to those who perform any mental gymnastics with numbers. Human calculators, ha. And collectively to all blackjack players, including card counters. Nor did I single him out here, as he's not worthy of that. (Even though his "claim to fame" is not card counting. He might be a millionaire, though. I forgot about the time he sued a casino for throwing him out. $500,000 or something like that? Good for him.)

    Sometimes?

You've posted more insults than any other member here...by far.

I'll bet you top the VCT leader board in name-calling both by volume and by percentage.

There can't be too much left after that to be proud of...and you call for others to be banned?
Sorry, smelly, your idol Argentino holds the record by far for insults on this forum. And it's not possible for his record to be broken. Now climb back under your rock.

He didn't care about the money. They offered to settle with him many times. He told them "I don't care about the money so fuck off." He wanted the judgement. That had never happened before. When the defense lawyers seen they might lose they always offered up a settlement and everyone took it. The problem with the settlements is they never changed the way security operated. A judgement would make them have to change. Grosjean did AP's everywhere a big favor by not taking a settlement and pushing it to a judgement. It started the change in the way security operates.

James Grosjean is not one of my favorite people in the AP community. I don't like the way he belittles card counters, with his "salamander" comments. Personally, he has made some negative comments about me on two other blackjack sites. On one of the sites, he went as far as to create a sock puppet to say that I should be more advanced than I am at this point of my career, in regards to other (non-blackjack) AP plays. It was other members who actually figured out who it was because he had said something very similar about me, using his regular handle. I am not sure why he would care what I am doing. Maybe I should feel honored that he even took an interest and thinks I should be doing more. Maybe his way of trying to light a fire or something.

But that aside, I have great respect for his AP abilities and I couldn't agree more with Mickey's above statement. I know he personally, along with Mr. Nersesian, changed the climate, as far as security procedures and barrings in Las vegas, just as my career here began, for which I greatly benefited.

The mention of Grosjean's lawsuit got me thinking. Grosjean's lawsuit changed the climate for the better in Las vegas (an ultimately elsewhere) for card counters, as well as resulted in a settlement for himself. Comparing that to Kenny Uston's lawsuits in NJ, that he "won", but received no damages and the net result was blackjack conditions in NJ immediately deteriorated, as casino's moved to protect themselves. Unlike Grosjean, Uston's actions were a huge negative for card counters in NJ for decades (and continue to this day).

I know you've read this and commented, but for others who haven't read it:

I don't agree with James's position.....or at least one of his positions, as he seems to at times take both sides of the argument.

He says they didn't make the game "unbeatable". No they didn't. But the AC game (conditions) immediately changed for the worse as a result of Uston's lawsuit did they not? I mean this was not only before my BJ time, but maybe before I was born (mid 80's...I'll have to check on that). Wasn't the immediate response that AC did away with the lucrative 'early surrender' rule as well as went to all shoe, 4 and later 6 and later 8 deck games. All with mediocre penetration, where conditions had been much more favorable (lower house edges) prior to Uston's actions?

As someone who began my career playing AC for 5 and a half years before moving to vegas, I can tell you those 8 deck shoe games with mediocre penetration were no bargain. Las vegas (with the exception of the strip) was a major step up for me as far as favorable conditions.

One point that James makes is that there is not much difference in whether a casino is allowed to back off / bar a player, or half shoe or flat bet them. In either case they have made the game unplayable for a card counter. But that is precisely why I prefer the Las vegas (Nevada) model of playing the 'cat and mouse' game. That at least gives the player a chance to identify just what is and isn't tolerated (comfort levels) at each location and avoid countermeasures. The NJ countermeasures are built in...thank's to Uston.

While it may have been bad for counters, it was awesome for overall AP players.

Just another blackjack author who wrote about it because he couldn't make any other go of it. If he couldn't, then you guys can't, let alone your never actually showing even how you claim to.

I think there are some more elephants that need tending by the (illiterate) AP's who crack up. "Oh gee, that guy won the lottery by suing, so why didn't it work for me?" Of all the ones who sue or go to court, you have to expect a few anomalies. They are the ones who go on to write about it. And are praised by the players for telling the casinos what they already knew. Lol.

And that's the 411 on blackjack.

This idiot needs to be banned. His only contribution here is trolling AP's. He's just like Argentino turning the place into a cesspool.

Sorry for getting up your skirt, Mickey. I guess that you can't compete with anyone who hasn't seen 18 yo's in a row, or poker players who can compute its probability.

Honestly, though, who would or did troll Shacky's Spanish thread? If Alan has a girl in Paris, why not one in South America for a mere "troll" like me? I thought it an apt reply to a poster who was probably pulling our legs. Most of the first time posters who introduce themselves with odd questions are. Why the heck would anyone here even consider moving to South America? Lol. Carry on with the gambling, though, have fun. It's great not to have to, for any and every reason, and to watch you guys try.

P.S. I guess I got up also Dan's skirt. Maybe, it's no so easy waiting to win something.

For what? Politely telling a new guy not to start gambling? With supporting statistics about who finds a cure for it. And exposing your "proof" of $500 a day as a load? Holy crap! Why are you guys so defensive?

Good idea. Let the real trolls have the last word.

And edit out all the bad stuff, though true. The imagination is a wonderful thing.

For what? For trolling! You contribute nothing of value to anyone. You have turned into just another anti-AP troll. Hell, now you are even trolling the owner of the site.

It's just not that hard to see people's agenda. For several months, OneHitWonder posted one post over and over and over. He even did the same on another site. No one, and I mean NO ONE, had the slightest clue what that was about. Just a guy being a dick! When whatever that was didn't work, he has turned into Singer-lite, doing nothing but trolling AP's. No intent on contributing anything positive. Just tear down others. This simply should not be tolerated. If that is someone's SOLE goal, their sole agenda, get rid of them. Let them destroy some other site.

And coach belly is of the same mold, with the same agenda. When was the last time coach belly contributed something of value to anyone? Something that could even be considered as anything but trolling? Yeah, sure coach belly does it a little differently. Not smack talking every thing said. He lies in wait, searching for these "gotta ya" moments. And then he springs like the nasty little troll that he is.

Bottom line: These are people with an agenda. They are not here to contribute anything positive (and they never do). They troll and wait and have one single goal...to troll the AP's on this site. And they could care less about ruining the site, or that the site belongs to someone else (Dan). Total lack of respect for anyone, including Dan Druff and this agenda should not be tolerated. All it does is turn the site into a cesspool, and discourages other members from participating. It prevents this site from becoming anything other than what it currently is.
