My history with moses goes way back. Besides Norms forum, there were two other forums that are no longer in existence. At one of those he threatened to shoot me and was banned.
And you know what it all stemmed from? Moses showed up at Norm's forum claiming to be a professional card counter/blackjack player in Reno for 20 years. I challenged that because a player cannot be a professional player playing only Reno. They are way too sweaty to allow that. They won't allow high enough stakes, not allow play for long and there isn't a enough casinos to have a decent rotation. It just can't be done. The best a card counter can do in Reno, is roll into town every 6 months or so for a weekend and get some action in. And frankly THAT is way too risky. One of my worst database entries involved play in Reno. And unfortunately, that problem does stay in Reno or whatever location. It goes with you everywhere. So even occasional play in Reno is a risk/reward big negative.
So that is what it was all about. I said a player can't play Reno professionally not for 1 year, certainly not for 20 years.
And guess what, now after the fact, I was proven right. At the time Moses showed up claiming to be a 20 year professional, he was just starting his blackjack experience. He had just gotten divorced, sold his business and moved to Reno, where since it was just him, he was planning on playing blackjack. I am sure that he quickly realized they wouldn't allow that, because he later told the truth that he had made 100k over 10 years. That is 10k a year. That is not professional play.
Just like Mdawg, I don't know why Moses made up such a fantastic story when he joined the forum. If he had said, I just got divorced, sold my business so I have some money and now that it is only me, I hope to make some money, playing part-time in Reno. THAT would have been a great story. Everyone, myself included would have followed along and been rooting for him.
But Moses for whatever reason needed to come up with some fantastic story that defied how things work. No one can play Reno professionally counting cards. And I called him out. I dared call him out. I have a right to call bullshit when people are making up bullshit stories. I am sorry, if that pisses people like Moses, Mdawg and Singer off. I play for a living, I work hard at it. I take the risk. I endure the variance of long losing periods. I have that right. It isn't personal (or certainly doesn't start out personal with me), it is just that bullshit is not the way things really work. It is fantasy. If you want to share real experiences then do the work. Know the math. Figure out how things work. Take the risk. And endure the variance. But just don't tell us a fairytale and expect me and other real players to not say anything.
I accepted Kevin Keen's (moses) apology on his deathbed. It was somewhat vague, but he and I both knew what was involved. I accepted it, but that doesn't change the facts of what happened. May he Rest in Peace.

For the longest time, my believe was that the Mdawg chronicles was all made up. And that might still be the case. But I have come to believe that there is some truth to what Mdawg posts. Not the 10 hour, $100-$5000 spread session, nor some other outrageous ones, but I am now thinking many of the reports are true or somewhat true.
He is a higher limit player and could win a lot of sessions. But for every session he reports that he wins, there are losing sessions which total more than the winning session that he loses, that he doesn't report. And this would explain all the comps, because THAT is exactly how things work. Overall losing players get comped well, especially at that level.
One of the things that has lead me to this conclusion was that early on Mdawg reported nothing but winning sessions. I think there were 54 in a row at one point and 102 out of 104 or some numbers like that. It was only after several people began stating the obvious that he began mixing in more losses, like he now does.
Early on Mdawg said something to the effect that it was all about the comps for him. He liked having everything comped. So what we are getting is half the story, half a picture. And once you figure that out, then the whole story and all the comps begins to make sense. AND IS exactly how things work. Overall, losing players get comped well and are welcome.

As to your second question, I presume you're referring to MDawg? I've literally never read any of his gambling posts. If he's making up wins then he's making up wins and you are free to say so.

I'm not sure how Rob Singer got the moral pass card on his Kewl attacking while Mdawg is a "bully". Singer is no different than Mdawg except Mdawg posts far more and has a larger source of material to draw from. They are both bullies and I find it hard to find much distinction.

I don't know exactly what Rob Singers motivation is/was with his preposterous claims, one after another. I think it was because he wasn't and couldn't be a winning player. Lately he claims it was all in fun...all for entertainment. But the guy self-funded the publishing of books and wrote a column in a gambling publication (for free) for years. I am just a mid level card counter AP. Card counting is looked down on by other AP's to the point, I am not even sure most consider it APing anymore. But that is mainly what I do. And I have shared some of my experiences doing that for the last 15 years or so. (13 living in Vegas). I share some things and answer some question that I really shouldn't. And I have shared the good and bad, the winning and losing.
