The major tell is that everyone prefers to believe they can win at everything. And I think "sudden hate" is more what the addicted alleged "APs" toss one's way when you point out that they are nowhere near as expert at particular things as they believe they are.
KewlJ, as an example, has tried to pitch this narrative of routinely betting 70 plays a day while working off bonuses as some kind of an "AP" angle. Yeah, that'll work once. Maybe even two or three times...IF YOU ARE NOT BETTING MUCH. But no, the KewlJ manages to do it over and over at the same sports books, allegedly for serious money, which means he is either (1) lying through his teeth or (2) employing other people as subs or beards which (if discovered) could lead to all his funds being frozen. But his reporting neglects to mention that latter possibility, which rises to likelihood status the more he wagers.
And now might be a good time to repeat, once again, that I have accounts at the books KewlJ claims to be exploiting, and I have had accounts there maybe three or four times longer than he has.
The problem with KewlJ is that he's either making most of his stuff up or, conversely and I think more likely, he operates at some really low level, which is fine, but he should probably report that what works for $30 a game at sports books is not going to keep you under any radar at 3K or more a game.
You do realize, KewlJ, that Munchkin retired from playing blackjack. Gee, I wonder why. But the KewlJ keeps going strong in the same locale Munchkin inhabits. Now something seems off there. The most reasonable explanation is that the KewlJ betting is strictly minor league, so radar isn't even aimed in his direction. That is fine, but for this confirmed liar and overall maroon to explain how everything is winnable is a disservice to people who might actually believe him.

I haven't done the multiple accounts thing at sports books yet. So stop insinuating that I have, RED. But I have that option open with several people I live with that don't do sports betting, if I decide to extend my sports betting play after I have burned myself out. And there is nothing wrong with doing so, as long as the other people aren't going to be doing it. I don't know why you keep implying there is something wrong with that.

The bottom line about RED is I always thought he probably was involved with sports betting as a livelihood as he claimed for 40 years. Not being an expert at sports betting, most of what he said and claimed seemed legit to me. Now I am not so sure. I have no idea. He sure wants everyone to think he was some great sports better. He drops names constantly and apparently has documentation from some contests in 1984 that he wants to shove down everyone's throat like he did Alan.
But really the evidence suggests he is/was nothing more than one of these sports betting "touts". I don't care. The thing about the KewlJ(s) -- and yes, there have been more than one -- is that they opine as if they are quoting facts, but it's really a goddawful excuse to pick and choose one or two references out of a hundred, ignore what they prefer to ignore (which is 98% of everything) and then present their bullshit summaries as some kind of reality. It's really ridiculous, biased nonsense, and despite the KewlJ(s) alleged stint at Villanova, they clearly never had anyone editing any of their papers, because this kind of bullshit reporting would result in fail(s).
Let me give you two quick examples. The KewlJ(s) say I'm quoting 1984 stats somewhere. No, I am not. Here are the facts.
1) The Wise Guys Contest, which I mention often, is still ongoing. I retired from it two years ago. I have the best or second-best ATS record for the 30 years I was in that contest, compared to everyone else. That's something near 30 years of a two-games-a-week ATS record.
The KewlJ(s), however, forgot about the fact it was ongoing, despite the fact it's still on the Playbook website, right now, and has been for 30 years. So why would the KewlJ(s) "forget" this? Because they are dishonest, misrepresenting liars. Simple.
2) The "1984" the KewlJ(s) mention was the publishing date of "Who's Who in Sports Gambling," published by Hall Publishing using the Gambler's Book Club press. That date had to do with me being vetted and included in that book, and I may have been the youngest person in there.
So why would the KewlJ(s) quote a particular date, not mention the reference that matches that date, and not mention Who's Who in Sports Gambling? You got it. Because they are dishonest, misrepresenting liars.
Almost every post by the KewlJ(s) features this kind of "Oh, I don't quite remember reality, but let me refresh you with what I think" utter bullshit. All they have to do is actually read what I wrote, because I never get this stuff wrong. Read what's on this very site. But the KewlJ(s) post without bothering to fact check anything. That's their standard operating procedure.

There's no cherry picking. Monitors record every play a handicapper puts out and then publish the results. You don't "get anything" or "win anything" other than your record being verified.

When I was playing the locals circuit of Vegas casinos, that would be places like all the Stations (except Palace), and South Point, a couple Boyd properties, Silverton, some downtown properties, several just off strip properties, and even a couple strip properties, I would post a report at the end of each year. The report included what I made, only because I wanted people to know what kind of money a grinder, mid-level player could reasonably expect to make. I also included the number of heat related incidents I had, which at that time were all backoffs. And finally, I included a report on conditions and changes in conditions over that year.
And year to year conditions really didn't change much in Las Vegas in that decade plus. A couple games might go to 6:5, maybe one would go to CSM, but there always seemed to be some casino improve conditions as well, come back to 3:2 from 6:5 or get rid of those expensive CSM. Plus there were several new casinos that opened during that time. So number of playable games didn't change much. I always had 30+ playable games.
And heat related incidents for me went down each year. My first few years I would be backed off 6-8 times a year, then 5-6, then 3-4, as I learned what was and wasn't tolerated. And my brother has done even better. He has played for 10 years now, playing basically the same level I did for 12 years, and he has had I think 2, maybe 3 backoffs. This idea that you are pushing that card counting conditions in Las Vegas have deteriorated and became unplayable is just nonsense from a guy who seems to know little about card counting and conditions.

It cost me money to help take care of my Mom during her last days, and I had to pay for some of my family to visit her during that time.
I am going to be setting up a place on my land for my Dad to live during the winter months or whenever he wants since he's now 80 and it's too fucking cold in ND.
As a Teen I came to Vegas with around $300 and never had much help along the way. My dad lent me $300 when I was around 19 once when I was in-between paychecks. I have made him many loans since over the years to help with a few downpayments.
I'm not bailing out, it's called early retirement and living a lifelong dream since I can't stand the hot bleak desert, I never liked it.
I can AP from almost anywhere in the world and I still have continued action on some B&M plays going forward.

Concerning Redietz's father buried in the backyard. I never believed that. I mean that would be a whole different level of craziness/sickness. But I may have repeated it once or twice. And I apologize to Red for that. I don't like it when people repeat things about me that they KNOW are not true, so I shouldn't do so either. Even half in fun.
But I did look up the address 2-3 years ago, when Red started posting his address over and over and there were 2 Robert E Dietz's associated with that house, one about the age Red claimed and one 24-25 years older. If Red says he father never lived there, so be it. Information on the internet is often wrong, especially when dealing with the same name and a Sr & Jr. It is also possible that some sort of loan or downpayment or any financial transaction, somebody put down that address. That would lead to an association without the person living there.
But in the end I don't care about the house or the story with it. It is just kind of funny, this guy claiming to be the kind of Las Vegas sports betting for 40 years, living in Tennessee. You would think at the very least he would have had a part-time place in Vegas if he really spent 100 days here. But whatever.
Getting back to the "anonymous" rants Red has gone on about with APs. Like Mickeycrimm has pointed out, successful sports bettors get banned and bet restricted at sports books, just like advantage players do in the casino. THAT is why they are forced to use runners. So Reds rants and posting his real information don't really jive with what he is claiming as a successful sports bettor for all these year, especially the decades before all the online sports books. Of course what do I know. I am only a full-time AP that has lived and played Vegas for 15 years. :rolleyes:

So I was thinking back to the whole ordeal with the "Package" that occurred just after I started on this forum. Those that were around then will surely remember. It was between the late Alan Mendelson and Redietz. I guess Alan challenged Red's claims, as Alan often did and Red had documented proof he wanted to send Alan. Alan provided an address for an office in California, and then Alan did this strange "tap dance" of how he only got to the office once a week, them twice a month, then once a month, then once a quarter, then finally, he was locked out and didn't have keys to his own office. So he never received or acknowledged recieving "the Package". :D Likely Alan did see it and was just fucking with Red.
But here is the thing. What that package contained was the very same information Red has been crowing about here for the last how many months. McCusker reports of contests from back in the 1980's. :cool: It is 2025 for God Sakes. Who even has that kind of thing from 40 years ago (33 years when the "package" incident occurred). And why is it so freaking important to Red?
I think the answer is tied to this "touting" service. That Red has documented prove that he once did well in some sports betting contests provides the basis, documentation that he can show and point to when recruiting new "clients/investors". :rolleyes: So those reports from 40 years ago are very, very important to him. It allowed him to recruit new suckers....I mean clients.

At first I was using free simulations and then I started paying for one service, while still double running the free ones to the limit the free ones allow. I have no idea if running simulations is a long-term winning strategy, but they have been kicking ass in the NBA over the past several months. 58% winners. Many on totals.
So I don't care what you say or think Mcap or what Red says about my playing 50-70 games a day on a Saturday when college is going full tilt along with NBA. I am busting through the rollovers while staying well above 50% for a while now. How long that continues....I have no idea.
And just for context it is 70 bets, not 70 games. I may have 4-5 bets on one game. If sims show a game going way over with both teams going over, I will bet the over, the halftime over, and each teams total over. Sometimes I have games that I bet the quarter, half and game on one side. And it can really suck when sims are wrong and you lose 3-4-5 bets on the same game. :D But so far....so good, long-term.
Red still has all the information. He only sent Alan copies. he needs that information or did, to reel in new "marks" for his service. But the real tell is that if he was really picking winners for these clients, he wouldn't need new clients. The same ones would flock back year after year.
