KJ, the tables are NOT all the same, so unless a wannabe DI can duplicate a table exactly he'll never be able to have the same sort of results at home as at the casino.
I suspect the key thing is the surface, both the felt overlay and the underlay beneath it.
When DI became a thing I understand some casinos modified their tables underlay to become bouncier.
No, DI is not practical: you want to win, then figure how to palm and substitute dice, but yeah, it's a felony.
