Some people on this forum are so damn hyper to disprove and argue something I have said....almost anything that I have said, that they distort all fact, claims and what was said.
The story Eliot shared about being called in to evaluate a high roller occurred in another country!
The Phil Ivy situation occurred in Atlantic City, where there are far different rules. They can't even back off and 86 players.
I have NEVER said "That is not the way Atlantic City works in regards to something". I have never said "that is not the way Macau or other countries work".
. What I have said is "What Mdawg claims is NOT the way Las Vegas works"
Las Vegas has a remedy available. They can just refuse a player for any reason, for no reason, without giving a reason. AND THEY DO. I have seen them back off/86 players playing blackjack that were no more counting cards as they were jumping over the moon. The player just happened to be winning, while varying wagers. Not even varying with the count....just varying.
Las Vegas just is not going to allow a player, playing rated so they have a clear record if he is winning, to play and win hundreds of days a year for years and years, in the amounts Mdawg claims. Just not going to happen in Las Vegas, let alone at one of the sweatiest strip casinos, where he claims much of this fantasy took place.
I know it irritates some of you people, but I KNOW how Las Vegas works. ESPECIALLY TABLE GAME PLAY! I have been a successful card counter/Ap in Las Vegas for 16 years. It is my business to know how things work, what a player can and can't do and get away with. AND how to keep being able to play...be welcome back to play. THAT is what I have specialized in.
Mdawg claiming he won millions of dollars, playing rated, for hundreds of days a years, 6 or 7 straight years now, in Las Vegas, just is not real. It is a fantasy. It is NOT how Las Vegas operates. And you people trying to distort and change fact and point to incidents in other parts of the world or country, are just grasping as much as he is. That is NOT what we are talking about. We are talking about Las Vegas and Mdawgs claims are NOT the way Las Vegas works. Period. These claims have always just been fantasy. The title of his thread invokes fantasy and from his very first post where he posted pictures of casino chips and cash on a bed, trying to claim that meant he had won....it was ALL fantasy.
Mdawgs claims are as real as Singer's Newell, or Singers Million dollar hit on a computer screen in his daughters house. PERIOD! And any real players that play Vegas knows it. Funny, you don't see any real players that play Vegas for a living, especially table game players suggesting that I am wrong do you?
Dawg has come up with a whole array of explanations for how he has been able to win. Everything from voodoo things like "betting into hot streaks", to counting cards at blackjack, to claims of knowing the first card out (hole-carding) to one time he suggested loss rebates, even though he never posts about losses (so that didn't work). His latest and one he has stuck with for a while is that he is rainman.
Come on people!
There are ways that he could have given himself an advantage and won long term. he hasn't hit on any yet as his explanation, but there are ways.
BUT as I have discussed, finding something mathematical that gives the player an advantage is only part of the equation. It is only half the battle. Not EVEN HALF.
The second and much harder part is finding ways and developing a style of play that will allow you to keep playing and again, especially at table games AP.
THIS is the hard part. Longevity. This is the reason there are so many former professional blackjack players running boot camps and seminars, because they failed at that second part.
You MUST understand how Las Vegas works, what a player can and can't do to even begin to figure out how to get your play down for a long period and Mdawg and apparently some of you trying to twist things around for him, just haven't no such understanding.
Pit people in the high limit rooms would lose their jobs if they allowed even a fraction of what Dawg claims to have occurred.
You know, the very same people he claims are patting him on the back and cheering him on. THEY WOULD LOSE THEIR JOBS!
And these aren't novice, newer pit people. The most experienced and best the casino have work the high limit rooms. They have seen it all and know it all. And they would NEVER allow what Dawg is claiming to occur.
This is precisely one of the reasons why REAL APs and long-term winning players avoid high limit rooms and tables. Avoid them like the plague.
Mdawg is a guy that owns or is associated with a forum for writer's writing stories.
And he likes to gamble, has some money, so can afford to gamble. And likes the comps casinos offer to higher limit losing players.
At some point he decided to combine these two things he likes and write stories about gambling.
And everything fits, everything works except for the winning. That is made up. Everything else is just how things really work, all the freebies and comps and royal treatment. But that treatment is reserved for losing players not long-term winning players playing at an advantage.
If you take away all the ridiculous claims of winning everything about his adventure works....just the way Las Vegas works. But you add in the winning and none of it works or fits. It just all becomes fantasy!
I don't for the life of me, know why he thought he could pull this silliness off on forums populated by real winning players, some of whom play for a living.
I realize it helps your fictional take on me to say I was a runner, but it's such a silly, blatant and provable lie that it's beneath you. Really. When you throw around blatant lies and declare them as truths, and those lies are easily debunked, it fucks up everyone's perception of you. And eventually everyone's memory of you. You realize, mickey, if Munchkin reads these posts of yours, he will realize you are bullshitting about me for no good reason, and that this kind of fairy tale stuff will cast doubt on all of your stories and your entire self-presentation.
Hopefully, Munchkin doesn't read this nonsense, because of all the silly lies you could tell, this one is the easiest to demonstrate as a lie. If you do not know why, sorry, my friend, I'm not going to help you.
On top of all this, you have a very naive view about many of these topics. Most of your opinions vis-a-vis sports betting are vanilla, silly, or both.
God bless.
God bless Tiny Tim.
Right there is the problem. Belly doesn't really want these answers. he and the people like him on this forum that twist everything up, already know the answers. They just lie and twist and distort everything in some trollish effort to support something or someone that they know is not true. THAT is what trolling is.
The interesting thing to me is to figure out why these people do this with shit they know is not true. The majority, like Singer, and dawg and others are just anti-AP. They are long-term losing players that are jealous and bitter of players that can and do win.
And Belly probably also falls into this category. But there is something a little bit different about Belly. It is his support for players claims that he knows are not true and endorsement of gambling voodoo shit that he KNOWS is not true. That is what made me think very early on, and still do that it is more than just trolling and being contrarian. I think he is associated with the casino industry. If not him, someone in his family and he wants to push this narrative that AP's aren't real and don't really win but all the voodoo winning shit (long disproven) does work.
But in the end, I have given up trying to figure what the bug up his ass is about. better just to ignore him completely.
Yes, if Munchkin read your bullshit here about how computer betting and multi-accounting don't work, which he came out of retirement to pursue, I'm sure he would definitely be amused. But further than that he would be laughing all the way to the bank with the money he makes doing it.
Why don't you quiz Munchkin on his computer betting and multi-accounting and relay the information to us. That is, if you can be honest about it.
Higher limit results distort everything.
Lets say a player makes 10 trips over a 3 year period. He wins 8 of those trips and betting $100 per hands is ahead $3000 at the end of the 3 years and 10 trips. Nobody would think anything of it. He is ahead 30 times his bet. Probably on the outer edge of standard deviation, but very possible. Nothing all that special.
Now bump up his bet from $100 to $200,000. He is ahead 6 million. The same 30 times bet. A casino is probably going to be more concerned and call in an expert like Eliot, who will conclude that it is the very same outer edge of standard deviation, but still very possible. Just nothing all that special.
THAT is all the Eliot situation was. A casinos really shouldn't have to do that. They should have people in their employ that would know that. But with large amounts if they want to call in a second expert opinion for their own piece of mind, good for them.
And by the way, a gambling expert mathematician is not the ONLY expert that would be called in to such a situation as Eliot was. Expert advantage play consultants (if none on staff) would also be called in to try to determine if the player was doing anything at an advantage.
Maybe you would call the math expert first and then the advantage play expert (also looking at cheating). I don't know. But they would cover all bases.
And again, if we go back to the Mdawg "stories", after 6 years hundreds and hundreds of days played and upwards of 10 million claimed that he won, people would have been called in. They just wouldn't sit back and allow a player to win like he claims.
And guess what? The final piece to the puzzle is that if they can't figure out how a player is winning....lets say some new advantage play technique that the casino experts just can't figure out...they STILL will put an end to it. They just do not allow a player to do and win what Mdawg claims.
I mean what do you think, casinos just throw up their hands and say "I don't know how he is winning, so just let him keep winning and clean us out?"
Come on people...stop with this silliness. This shit is just NOT how Las Vegas works. :D I don't know why some of you are pretending it is, when you damn well know better. This is what is entertainment to you. Fantasy stories that defy how things work (reality)?
I have no issue with people multi-accounting except for the fact that they damage the bonuses of real players in the long run. It's as simple as that. I also have no issue, as I stated here and in person, with people using multi-accounting not to exploit bonuses but to circumvent limits. I have no issue with that, and frankly that seems like the best use of multi-accounting to me.
Plus there is the problem, as Munchkin mentioned during one lunch, that a sports book, even an onshore, "legit," major-company book can and will freeze your accounts if they decide you have been multi-accounting to exploit bonuses. It seems like a terrible misuse of their power, but the fact is, in the fine print, they hang onto the allegedly legal ability to do just that if they decide you are multi-accounting. And I'm sure lawsuits ensue, and good luck to everyone with that.
Now please continue to explain how I was a runner for Mr. Walters. I'm sure you have some fine evidence, or lacking that, some really insightful observations of how I did it. Inquiring minds, mickey, want to know about your declarations. Or be a good honest Christian and explain that you were making it all up.
This is true. BUT that is NOT what your gripe was. You repeatedly said stupid shit like anyone using multiple accounts was I believe you said "stealing" form friends and relatives.
Of course books can freeze your account. Or not honor bonuses or any number of other restrictions. I have had one of these things (not honoring bonus after the fact) happen to me. We don't like it, but that is part of the "game".
And it happens exactly the same way in other areas of advantage play. Casinos are always trying to stop or limit winning players. Always. And the AP and winning players have to figure out new ways around these things. In blackjack this has always been referred to as the "cat & mouse game", but it is a little more vicious than that. It is more like a war. A good AP/player figures way around each and every obstacle thrown at him or moves on to something with less obstacles at the moment.
THAT is what AP is about. No one is handing anything to you. You have to work to take it. That is what I have been trying to impress on this forum for a very long time. The math is really the smaller part of advantage play.
And that is why it is irritating and insulting to real players that fight this war and figure ways around obstacles to have some nit wit come along claiming he wins every day, and that the casinos don't care and love him for it and take no counter-measures. It is fantasy. He might as well be saying he flaps his arms and flys around the moon.
Dietz, YOU have mentioned "provable" responding to mickeycrimm, multiple times now. I generally don't ask for proof, but if you are volunteering.....
You have some sort of relationship with Munchkin. You claim you worked for Bllly Walters, not as a runner, but some valued part of his organization that he looked to for advice.
So how about you call on these two people you claim to have or had a relationship with, arrange for some kind of interview or Q & A and lets get to the bottom of this?
Instead of you continuing to reference and play games with a podcast that you know is NEVER going to happen.
If you really wanted to get to the bottom of this, it would have been done long ago.
I'd rather cut off my scrotum with a rusty breadknife than AP slots in Vegas or AC.
If you're going to do it for any kind of real profit you need to play high denom/risk plays on games (as crimm said) that the general ding dongs don't know about. Building cards off the plays is also pretty valuable, but higher denom plays carry W2G possibilities which can be an issue.
Any widely known play is going to be a race to the bottom and if you aren't card building you're going to have every play taken by teams who are.
You are seriously 15 years late to the party. How you didn't transition from your VP sideplay to slots back in the day is seriously beyond me.
I appreciate your comments and thoughts jdaewoo. I am already having second thoughts and thinking it might not be a good fit for my situation. probably going to continue to give it a try for now and see how it pans out.
As for why I didn't go directly from our VP mailer play directly to AP slots, that is because I wasn't doing the VP mailer play when it ended. My partner was handling all that and I was playing my blackjack, still playing the local circuit and grinding 5-6 days a week. I mean there are only so many hours in a day.
Also the end of our VP sideplay came rather suddenly upon my partners sudden passing. The play was already winding down with less and worse mailer offers (which I now know was due to the multi-carders), but for me, it ended rather abruptly in the blink of an eye upon my partners sudden death. I tried to pick up some of it, the best of the remaining offers for a couple years but it was only a fraction of what we were generating when my partner was handling it all.
And in the end, the more time I put into that, at declining returns, the less I had for my primary income....blackjack.
I guess I was aware players, even some blackjack heavy players were and had moved to advantage slot. But I just wasn't looking for, nor had the time at that particular time.
Things have now changed for me. I have a lot more time. I only play blackjack average 10 hours a week and on weekend nights at higher limits. I have a lot of free time during the week. I do the sports betting but that only takes a few hours a day. I actually tried to revive the VP mailer play first, last year, but it isn't the same. You hit them with a big coin in and it generates much less and they cut down or stop offers very quickly. the whole play is either not +EV or if it is, not worth the time and effort for me.
That is why I have looked into slot AP. And that may not be the answer either. In the end, I may just be going back to my roots, more blackjack play. Combining some of the grinder locals circuit with a bit of weekend higher limit play. I mean I DO know how to win at blackjack, still enjoy doing so, so I am not looking to abandon that. We will see.
One of the things for me, is I now have a BF, that I live with that works a traditional type job. He is a manager at a retail type establishment and manager of a specific division. It is not a horrible job, and has great benefits, but he does work hard. He starts at 6am so is up very early.
He has show little interest in AP play, but I would like to find something for him or that we could partner on that would allow him the option to move on from his grinding job. I don't even know if he would have an interest at this point, but I would like to find something and present him that option. And I know card counting is not that something. He is not cut out for that.
The Vegas market sucks due to oversaturation of slot APs (both real and tweaker) and the local vs out of towner mail situation. It doesn't help that pretty much every casino has been smashed by multicarders at some point.
Mail and slot AP can still be great in the right market, but Vegas and AC aren't the right markets.
I became aware of the local vs out of towner mailers while we were still doing the VP play. There are ways around or to maximize that, of course.
I am neither looking to pick up and move to change markets or to do extensive travel. I did the pickup and move in my 20's and am not doing so again. I like it here, living here, playing here. And Blackjack which is why I moved here still works and really still works almost exactly the same as the day I moved here. I know the non blackjack guys and naysayers want to claim it no longer works, but it does. Exactly the same.
Most AP's no longer do much with blackjack (at least not card counting) because they pursue bigger edges elsewhere with less "hassle". But it still works for me. And frankly that few APs, some but fewer play blackjack is also a benefit. I often wonder if I had been born a little earlier and my career took the same path and I moved to Vegas 15 years before I did, maybe the late 90's or even 2000, when there were still hundreds of card counters, how I would have made out? I think that would have been much more challenging to find my little lane.
Funny thing I learned at the time is that mailers are not only different in regards to locals vs out of towners, but differ in the same area (like Las Vegas) based on ethnicity and gender. Someone with an Asian name or living in an Asian area of town will get better offers than someone else for the exact same play. And a female even better.
I never exploited that, but know someone who did.
Seems like that ought to be some kind of discrimination or something, but good luck winning that. :D
Some of my ramblings may seem unconnected, but there aren't entirely. It comes down to real players/AP learn and know how things work....and they work it. And when some nitwit (dawg, Singer, and now to some extent Dietz) comes along claiming bullshit that is NOT how things work, it annoys me. It insults me. Maybe that is on me, but it is what it is.
The Phil Ivey story is terrible. Got to love our injustice system. The judge enforcing a theoretical win is BS.
Nersesian has said that anytime a case gets into the math, it is a heavy lift to get either a judge or jury to understand or even keep their interest. Even a fairly simple concept. So, this judge ruling in this manner, just smacks of corruption and a judge being paid off.
Your issue is that you know absolutely nothing about sports betting, but you pretend that you do. You use wrong math. You use wrong bonusing. You use wrong language. You act as if you're invisible when your blackjack play should have sensitized you to how visible you are as someone the books have no motivation to deal with. But somehow, the alleged blackjack pro who hides his identity all the time tries bonusing while setting his hair afire and thinking nobody notices him. Your sports betting comments are pretty much a joke; a how-to near complete ignorance.
So how about this? I don't post about slots or blackjack or poker or other things I know next to nothing about, and you restrict yourself to things you actually know something about. I'm helping out your rep as a man about town here, since almost every post about sports betting from you makes it clear you're one step above knowledgeable earthworms after a bad rain.
First this man about town nonsense. That is a Singer claim. I have never claimed to be nor want to be the man about town. No labels for me like "Pope of Las Vegas". That is NOT what I am about, nor have ever been about. What I am is a guy who has lived and made a living APing in this town for 16 years, so yes I know a little bit about how things work. And Dietz, so do you at least on some things, and I have noticed you never call Dawg out on things that you know are bullshit. Instead you cozy up to him as some sort of Troll brother.
Now that said, I reject your don't talk about sports betting and you won't talk about blackjack offer. And it is not to be mean or combative. We are well into, like months if not years into this discussion about sports betting and how the things you claim and say don't square with any other sports bettor. Not just going to drop it now, because you can't answer for your comments and are not man enough to admit you are wrong.
So sorry Red, I decline your proposal. But mine still stand: here is a re-post:
Dietz, this shit really isn't personal with me. I don't dislike you. (double negative) I don't even know you. I also don't dislike Dawg or Singer or at least didn't until they started with nasty attacks and lies. For me these things are really about the math and reality of a person's claims. And yours don't fly now Red.
And as soon as people, mickey at first, then others began to point out that your claims don't work, you get nasty. Same exact playbook as Singer, which Dawg later copied. get nasty and try to discredit the person questioning you. That has never worked in the history of the world. You cannot gain credibility to your own claims/story by attempting to lie about and discredit someone else.
I, on the other hand, can and do answer most legitimate questions and concerns about what I do, have done and claimed. And I often answer questions and reveal things I would be better off not answering. But I do it anyway, as long as the person asking is being sincere and not trolling. the trolls will twist my answers and pretend I said something else, but I can and do have real answers.
Why is it you guys can't do that? Why do you have to go immediately to attacking like you ALL do? As soon as you do that, it reveals what you are. And I am quite sure I am not the only one that sees that. Like I always have said...it just isn't that hard to figure out......
Let me get this straight (see what I did there?). You have an anonymous alleged blackjack player, who multiple posters have sworn is a male escort with sugar daddies, who displays zero knowledge of sports but feels compelled to post about it. This poster has come back from the dead (by his own hand), and there is literally zero verification that he has done anything that he claims for any decent stakes. He has met zero people on various forums in person, and his story is that he lives on the strip while counting cards in Las Vegas.
His argument vis-a-vis me is that "my claims don't work," although I was monitored for a decade by the toughest monitor in the country. Even though my two plays a week in the Wise Guys Contest were on newsstands for decades, days in advance of games being played. And I have worked on a percent of profit basis with players who know each other for the last 20 years, including the late President of Golden Eagle Distributing, a pharma CFO, and a former Boeing vice-president. And, of course, my classic go-to, "Mr. Walters, who knows everything about everything, hired me." And I was on good terms (we grew up withing a few miles of each other) with the famous bookmaker, the late, great Mike Stockunas, who will likely be featured in a screenplay coming to a theater near you soon. Even though I gave an academic paper at the National Conference on Gambling and Risk-Taking and was vetted by Who's Who in Sports Gambling.
Now compare the partial summary in the above paragraph with everything we know about kewlJ's claims -- comes back from the dead, goes to Villanova but is broke, lives on the strip but avoids identification by various casinos because he's a master of disguise, gets his arm broken but doesn't really, knows Nersesian but really does not.
Jesus friggin' Christ. Talk about "claims not working." LOL. I mean, the comparison is absolutely ridiculous.
You guys know my name, my number, my address. Drop me a line when it's interview time. Anyone who shares forum space with this loony tune is as nuts as he is.
Well, there is that...but then again we've no reason to suspect KJ cannot afford to pay his property taxes on time.
Whereas...
It just never ends with Dietz. Similar to dawg and Singer in that regard. You simply cannot gain credibility for yourself and your claims by trying to discredit someone else. Has NEVER worked. What you need to do Red is answer some tough questions. And you can't do that. And you won't do that.
Red, the nonsense about you being monitored is over. It is as dead as your wife, my partner, Alan and Moses. DEAD! An expert.....an expert that you talked up, studied the very publications you have talked about for years and concluded you didn't make much, if any money. That is the end of the story!
And those "monitored" contests were never what you claimed there were. All they ever were is a tool for the many "touts" of that era to cherry pick their good years to use to sell to new "customers/suckers". THAT is all they were. They prove nothing else. AND because you touts, at least some of you actually paid to have your results in these publication, it is even less credible (if that is even possible). Who is to say somebody didn't pay to have results posted that were not real? So just stop with this "I was monitored shit! Proven meaningless.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Deitz has posted his name, address (not sure why) his phone number (even less sure why). I have no idea why he would want to do so, but if he does and obviously, he did, he can afford to do so. Because he isn't an AP, nor winning player battling with the casinos like AP's who must maintain anonymity are. he is a tout....a salesman. So I guess that answers my own question as to why. he wants prospective customer/suckers to be able to contact him. This forum has essentially been advertising for his little scammy tout business.
Apparently, Dietz would like me and other APs to use our real names and addresses. Alan also wanted that at times. Alan, may he rest in peace, was a losing degenerate gambler. No reason for him not to use this name if he wanted. And Alan really didn't have a clue about Advantage Players, so it is almost understandable that he didn't get it. Dietz, AP or not (He is not, nor a winning player/sports bettor), but he should know better, just from the amount of time he claims he spent in Vegas and associations with other gamblers. I find it very disingenuous that he continues to pretend not to understand this.
Deitz, if you want this to end, put together an interview or podcast where people can ask legitimate questions and give legitimate answers that make sense. And make it so real players/APs like axelwolf, mickey Crimm, even me and anyone else that wants to can ask questions. Not some bullshit where you are given the questions in advance. And really, for the most credibility have munchkin and Billy Walters involved. the onus is on YOU Dietz to put this together. But we all know you never will. You can't because you can't reasonably answer any tough questions and if you did, your answers won't match any real sports bettors or anyone that knows even a little about sports betting. AND for good reason. You were not really a sports bettor. You were a tout. A salesman.
But until you do that, you are done. You are as credible as Singer and Dawg at this point. And that is 2 steps less credible than Tasha!
there are a couple things about Dietz and the other haters that continue to amaze me. they want to claim some very mundane things about me are impossible. Very mundane! That I have a brother. That I fractured my arm. That I live in Las Vegas. Completely stupid shit.
Why do they do that? well this post right here by Keystone (and he is not a KJ fan) is your answer.
Mickeycrimm actually said something similar several years ago. That people really know, just, just refuse to say so because they hate me (and mostly over something that isn't even about what i do gambling-wise). So juvenile.
One last thing that you KJ haters do. Is try to claim there are no other card counters and/or that card counting is no longer possible. This is a sentiment by people that just have no clue what they are talking about.
The only partial truth to that is there are not nearly, actually a tiny fraction of players that engage in a lot of card counting than 10-15 years ago. . BUT that isn't because it is dead, it is because for most players playing with an advantage there are better opportunities with bigger advantage and less hassle.
I am going to say there are 10 people living in Vegas that count cards, either for a living or several retired people that are supplementing retirement. Admittedly I am working off data that is several years old, because I haven't played the local's circuit much the past few years which is where I encountered them. But I would bet it is about the same number.
And then there are dozens more that travel around the country counting cards, and Vegas is one of the frequent stops.
So anyone claiming card counting isn't a thing and no longer possible is someone that doesn't have a clue. AND I can prove it. I challenge anyone to take a look at one of the databases in use here in Vegas (OSN still most widely used although there are others). Take a look at the most recent entries at any given time and tell me what they say. About half say card counter and/or suspected card counter. Why would the database be full of suspected card counters if there were none?
Goofy Bastards.
Is there ANY doubt how full of shit kew is? Who posts long, repetitive BS all day long in an attempt to be relevant? And who's foolish enough to get so lathered up over what another poster claims about his gaming results?
And yes, this moron is a wannabee Man-About-Town. Redietz, why are you wasting your time arguing with a proven, humiliated liar? You'll get a whole lot more mileage out of insulting the little fairy. Especially enjoyable is when he claims he doesn't read those zingers :)
Lets get to the bottom of this little ditty too. Bob Dietz was the first person to suggest the male prostitute thing. I think as a joke. Seedvalue and Mdawg are the two that repeated it. Seedvalue is the one that had witnesses that were going to come forward and prove it. THAT was over 2 years ago. We are still waiting.
I don't even think male prostitution is a thing here in Vegas. Maybe it is, I don't really know. I have never seen pictures of guys in those old slapper handouts or the free papers of that kind in newsbox type dispensers. About the only thing I have seen that even resembles that is some low level dudes in some gay bars and clubs that will let some older dude blow them for $20. They are called hustlers, though not prostitutes. And the older dudes looking to blow younger guys aren't looking for a guy in his 40's like me, so none of that stupid shit even works.
I mean maybe there is some male prostitute racket in Vegas that I am not familiar with. If so, Dietz, please explain it to us all. Where do you go to pick up male prostitutes when you are in town?
I get that people don't like me. I get that there are more homophobic type older guys on this forum than in the general public that hold my sexuality against me. I get that others may not like something else. A few just don't like players that win at casinos while they lose. But really, isn't it time to grow up from some of this ridiculously silly shit? Is this like a third grade for life club or something?
It is the same with card counting. If you go outside of Las Vegas into "normal America" and mention something about card counting to 10 people, 9 will say something about it being illegal, when it isn't illegal anywhere in the country. Casinos and the original Griffin databases did this by intentionally lumping cheats and card counters together. It took Grosjean's lawsuit to get them to stop.
I went back to Florida for a high school reunion about a decade ago. I hadn't kept in touch with anyone and no one knew what I was doing for a living or where I was living. When I told a few people that asked, every freaking one of them said something about that being illegal. Eventually I started just saying in business for myself, but that doesn't really work either for most of them.

I can handle and answer any legitimate questions or concerns, so I don't need to put some limitations on you.
But this seems so important to you to tell this story and have some kind of legacy about being a sports bettor, that I will just drop it. I think I have sufficiently done my job. Your Welcome Dietz. Consider it a house-warming gift.
But really, it changes nothing. The only way you can regain any credibility would be to do some sort of interview where you answer legit questions from real players and AP, and we all know you aren't going to do that, because you don't have the answers. Not real answers that match any other real sports bettors.
But, I am also going to now place you on ignore Bob Dietz. As you really have nothing of value to post and do nothing but troll, making you no different than Singer, Dawg and Belly, who you now join on ignore.
Why isn't this retard pretending to be relevant?
To someone who just came upon this ridiculous forum by mistake, they'll conclude that the poster kew is never wrong about anything, he lives a better life than everyone, the opinions and "facts" he espouses about others are the balls-on truth, he is the world's preeminent expert on blackjack, casino surveillance, and "how casinos don't operate in LV", every criticism, lie, and phony story he's caught in is either a product of homophobia or a "pre-planned move to protect himself", he is the gaming world's foremost detective of identifying casino winners as "liars" for saying they win using methods other than his high-school dropout mind can ascertain mathematically, and he spends his nights inside his "baby bro's" ass, chocolatizing his little dick so baby bro has something tasty to suck on as the sun rises.
Would YOU want this creep as a neighbor?
Oh.....HI KEW!! :)
Why isn't this retard pretending he can afford an RV?
Hey kew!--since you're too weak a fool to be able to resist reading anything & everything said about you.....how's today's Supreme Court ruling on stopping queers, weirdos and atheist teachers trying to indoctrinate elementary school kids into their sick homo agenda, tasting right about now!?
Trump = Win....because he's on the right side of every issue.
Everyone else can eat cake---and then whine in your cozy little safe spaces as you hurt exactly as you should. :)
Politics is a nasty business.
This from the guy that said he would do an interview 2 years ago but it hasn't happened yet and probably never will
This from the guy that welshed on a $100 bet that I couldn't get a cheaper room than him at Horseshoe Las Vegas.
This from the guy that challenged AP's to show a credit score and he would show his....but when they showed good credit scores he said he would send his credit score to Druff to verify but never did.
Is that a glass house at Bristol?
But perhaps I may agree with you about using non de plume's like "Stanford Wong" to give oneself some gravitas. It's kind of like naming a shyster tout service "Honest Bob's Sports, or, Integrity Sports.
God bless you, mickey crimm.
You want to do an adversarial interview? No problem. I cleared my calendar for this evening. You can call me at 10 PM my time, and I'll wing it. The phone number is 714-244-6853.
Can't do it tonight? No problem. I'll do it tomorrow.
In fact, I will weekly list what days I am available. Every Tuesday at 9 AM, I'll list what days and times I'm available for an interview that week.
Feel free to check in. You, kewlJ, Rob, whomever. I will videotape it, and I will try to schedule Dennison to videotape it. To be fair, you gotta call within 10 minutes of the listed times. Have anybody on the other end -- Shackleford, Todd, monet, MDawg, doesn't matter. I'll handle it extemporaneously.
Easy peasie. I'll charge my phone now so there's no issues. Thanks in advance.
And God bless Tiny Tim.
Singer was interviewed many times, those interviews are available to be viewed, and Singer is comfortable with that arrangement.
Do we have any mcap interviews, so that we can judge if he is ancient, angry, or ugly?
Until we do, then mcap is irrelevant...and quite the pussy.
What about... I have to ask...
Dietz has provide his phone number, and invited you to initiate an adversarial interview.
I'm going to call in. If you don't, then you are as big of a pussy as mcap is.
I will report on any and all call-ins in the morning.
God bless Tiny Tim...and anyone who messed with him.
I already told redietz it's been so long I'm no longer interested in even listening to an interview. I've been interviewing redietz right here for 2 years about his stance on EV in sports betting. I know where he stands. There's nothing he can add to that in an interview.
That doesn't exuses the fact redietz lied about doing an interview on GWAE, Life is a Gamble and PFA Radio. Calling him and asking questions doesn't change that fact.
redieta said anyone can call him so if you don't call in you are a big pussy too. And if you do call him who do you think will be listening? On PFA Radio people would be free to call in.
What happened?...Dietz provided a phone number and invited people to call him to ask questions that won't be aired anywhere? How fucking retarded, but par for the course.
Mickey is right. Dietz has had every opportunity to accept offers for several different podcasts type shows that would air to an audience. He has declined and thrown up road blocks every step of the way. He has also had this platform where he has made some of his bizarre statements like EV is an opinion, over and over again. So in a sense, anyone interested already should know all they need to know about Bob Dietz and his 40 year sports betting claim.
There simply is zero evidence Dietz made any money betting sports. He told us there was evidence in publications with 40 years worth of monitored contests, but when Kim Lee went over all the data, Dietz didn't have a winning percentage that would do anything other than break about even. And those contests aren't what he claims anyway. What they are is a tool for "touts", people that sell picks to use to attract new customers. They can use the good results to impress new customers and the bad results they just don't mention. Kind of like the baccarat dude who only tells you of winning days and doesn't mention losing days.
And even worse, throughout this stupid shit of an ordeal, Dietz adopted the very same troll tactic as trolls like Singer and Mdawg and that is to attack and lie about anyone that asked him any reasonable questions that he couldn't answer. THAT is always the tell to the "knows what he is talking about" equation. If a person knows what they are talking about they can answer reasonable questions asked and explain things in a reasonable manner. If they don't know what they are talking about, they attack and lie about the person asking questions.
Fucking retarded forum this is. There is like 3 people that actually play and know what they are talking about and the rest some level of asinine trolling.
I think people are getting a pretty good idea of "who knows what they are talking about and who's just talking."
Case i point. Direct quote: "Kim Lee went over all the data."
Not even close. Kim Lee went over roughly eight years of "Tipsters or Gypsters?" -- he did not include any Wise Guys results (roughly 30 years); did not include the year PRIOR to my "Tipsters or Gypsters?" debut where my weekly column with the Valley View paper was astonishing. Did not include results from Bally's college football handicapping contest. And all the bad numbers from "Tipsters or Gypsters?" were the first year. So frankly, overcoming all that to wind up in the top five of every multi-year college football category by the time "Tipsters or Gypsters?" stopped publishing is a tale of pulling oneself up by the proverbial bootstraps.
But I'm sure KewlJ has a fine explanation of why he skipped this information in writing his erudite if dishonest post. LOL. Some of us indeed "know what we are talking about" while others just talk (or post -- dishonestly and over and over and over).
An interview doesn't require a live audience, beyond the subject and the interviewer.
You've been hounding the guy for quite some time about ducking interviews, so he invited you to interview him and provided access.
Now you are agreeing that you are a big pussy, because you didn't call in.
Go get your shine box.
(my comments in blue) While I no longer see Dietz's posts, I was made aware of his post earlier today, once again attempting to discredit Kim Lee. I want to again go over some fact (backed by quotes from the last 3 months.
First just a short collection of the 100's of posts made by redietz, trying to claim this 3rd party monitoring nonsense.
Next we have this post from Dietz, 1 of 2 mentioning Kim Lee and his collection of the very publications Dietz has TRIED to use as evidence for decades. You will notice Dietz didn't say, Kim Lee has several years of these publication, or SOME of these publications. He said "a collection better than Dietz's own collection".
So Dietz opened the door, inviting Kim Lee here and what follows is parts of Kim Lee's conclusion from the very first couple posts he made here. You will note he stated that he actually wanted to support Dietz claims, but the evidence just didn't support that.
THIS Final Post is very telling. Bob Dietz didn't have a grasp on Kelly Wagering!!! How in God's name can someone claim to have been a professional sports bettor for 40 years and not understand Kelly Wagering?
Bob Dietz, just STOP this nonsense. For years you have bombarded us with this bullshit, that what you claim must be true because you were "monitored", despite that that monitoring is cherry-picked and not what you claim.
YOU opened the door, inviting Kim Lee here as you expert, and he completely debunked your decades of bullshit claims.
JUST FREAKING STOP!!!
Actually, as it turns out, I have a fine grasp of Kelly Criterion. It's exactly as advertised. And that's why it's somewhat inappropriate (at best) and really, really inappropriate and stupid (at worst) to apply Kelly Criterion to sports wagering.
I mean, kewlJ, you cannot be this stupid. Just google Kelly Criterion and read the first couple of Wiki paragraphs. Did you ever take a probability course at Villanova? Sorry, that is what's called a rhetorical question.
Or -- LOL -- better yet, call into 714-244-6853 when I'm next available. If you're worried about me not taping the interview, I have a fine suggestion. You record it. Play it here. Play it on YouTube. Play it on American Bandstand.
And as soon as I get back from a few errands and dinner, I will post here about the fine conversation last night at "Dietz Call-In Time." Be here or be square.
As to the Kim Lee material -- he leaned into my freshman bomb-out with McCusker, which was quite real and true. The reason I didn't go on tilt, however, I have stated many times. I had an outrageous, monster year the immediate season prior to my freshman McCusker season. That season was recorded in a weekly column at the Valley View Citizen Standard and capped by a SB preview column in the daily Shenandoah Herald (now part of the Pulitzer-winning Pottsville Republican franchise). None of what happened that previous season was included in "Kim Lee's" assessment. And I can publish the final multi-season McCusker college football standings here if anyone is interested. Now as to the reason I didn't freak out after my lousy initial McCusker season -- I should have won a good chunk of games I lost. The previous season the opposite occurred; I won a good chunk of games (at least 10) I should have lost. So the God of Odds evened things out. Such is reality; you gotta deal with it.
Keep swingin', kewlJ. Let people identify who knows what they are talking about as opposed to just talking.
I will try to find the interview from the year prior to my debut with "Tipsters or Gypsters?" It'll be embarrassing, I'm sure, but fun to read.
I am showing you the courtesy of reading (and responding to) your reply, despite that you are blocked, because it is only fair to have you be able to respond. But if all you can do is the same old responses, that don't fly....don't bother.
I have no idea what all this phone number shit and trying to get people to call you privately is about?
I am thinking it is another part of you trying to accumulate all kinds of information from members here. Real names, email addressed, phone numbers. Next thing you know we will all be bombarded with text messages and emails from Dietz soliciting his "tout" business, as he apparently did with Rob Singer.
And finally....You don't learn about Kelly Criteria from fucking Wikipedia. WTF!!! Can't think of anything more disqualifying of yourself and claims that that statement.
Update for tonight (as promised): Call into 714-244-6853 at 10 PM (same as last night). If you so desire, record the call and catch the aging handicapper being wrong about something, then put it on YouTube.
Looking forward to a fine tete-a-tete or two. Ten PM Eastern, baby. Be here or be square.
And as soon as I'm back from errands and dinner, I will update regarding last night's conversation.
wha tis the point of you people continuing to jump down this rabbit hole?
Seems awfuly damned silly to me.
It IS silly MisterV. But somewhat necessary.
Bob Dietz is following EXACTLY in Rob Singer and Mdawg's footsteps. Right down to the attack trolling when he can't answer questions.
AND just like Singer and Dawg, when they were completely 100% debunked, they don't let up. They keep coming with their bullshit stories. I mean Singer has been so thoroughly debunked, you would think he would never post again. But he does. Mostly attacks, but every so often he STILL trys to revive his claims, with some sort of comment about "when he was playing this or that...." Same with Dawg.
As long as these people pop their heads back up and try to revive their completely disproven claims, I think it is fair to "remind" them. :D
This continues to be the bottom line for me about this shit.
Whether Singer, Dawg or now Dietz, if you are going to come to a gambling related forum, your claims need to work mathematically, and realistically (fit the way things actually work).
And if you are going to come to forums, populated by real advantage players and players that play for a living, and you spout off nonsense that don't work, either mathematically or fit the way things actually work, then you should be prepared to answer reasonable questions in a reasonable manner without all the attacks and lies of those real players asking the questions. IT IS THAT SIMPLE!
Like me or not, approve of my personal life and sexual orientation or not, think I am arrogant and an asshole or not, my gambling claims do not defy the mathematics, nor the way things work and for good reason...I am just sharing some real experiences. And even that seems to irritate people...that I live and play Las Vegas and actually KNOW how things work. It is my fucking business to know how things work.
KJ, I was referring to the attempts to have redietz participate in some sort of call in show, which I think is mainly a ploy of Mickey to embarrass redietz?
Whatever...I cannot imagine such a call in program would be worth listening to: I've no interest in sports betting and the few callers the show would get would likely be VCT members with their knives out.
I also have difficulty following the EV in sports betting arguments.
FWIW redietz seems to be what he claims he once was.
