We know that Todd Witteles has said he would have redietz on PFA radio. Redietz agreed to be on the show. But that was a couple of years ago and there is no movement. So now we have a thread about it to expedite the situation.
Everything about redietz coming appearance can be discussed right here between Witteles and Bob Dietz. They can negotiate the date and time and questions to be asked.
So have at it, guys. Who wants to go first, Witteles or redietz?
Mickey must have checked with Munchkin vis-a-vis GWAE. LOL. So we are on to this as an alternate plan. Splendid.
Fear not. I'll go first. I'd prefer to do it in LV, whether in person or via live cam or whatever. But I can be talked into doing it from here in Tennessee...if mickey promises to buy me a Starbucks coffee. I usually get Starbucks in the GN in LV, so if mickey wants to bribe me into a Johnson City appearance, a Johnson City Starbucks coffee should do it.
Now as to topics. I will field any and all questions, don't need to know them in advance, although an advanced questions list is how things are usually done. If mickey wants me to answer non-scripted questions spontaneously, which nobody does any more, he'll need to kick in a danish to go with the coffee. I prefer Raspberry.
If Todd has particular dates in mind, I'll try to synch up an LV trip to those dates. Flying cross-country is easier than cleaning up my desk.
Back to March Madness, prepping for the UFL, and your regularly scheduled programming.
P.S. I have not absolutely verified this, but my screenwriting partner, Dennison (the dude who was in The Art Thief movie last year and was assistant director), has a friend in LV who is allegedly living with a bit of a celebrity. Now I doubt I can swing that particular location for a podcast appearance, but it may be possible, just barely possible, and it would blow your minds. I will call Dennison and see if there's any chance in hell of pulling that off.

From what I know about Druff's radio show he doesn't care where you are when you do the interview as everything is done remotely. He will be broadcasting from his home in an undisclosed location in southern California. He does his interviews over Zoom or Google Meet or the phone or whatever. He doesn't invite people to his home for interviews. It's not necessary in today's high tech world, but apparently you folks in the Appalachians don't know it yet.
Instead of flying to Las Vegas for the interview perhaps you could fly to Astana, Kazakhstan instead. You could get in some great sight seeing while being interviewed. But if you really prefer your friend's place in Las Vegas just make sure to tell him to set up Zoom or Google Meet so you can connect with Druff in southern California.

Fyi, I will have to be remote via, phone, zoom, facetime, or whatever else they use nowadays as I have been traveling (I put in 4000 + miles in less than a month and I'm still going)
Looking for the perfect 2nd Riverfront property, I just put in an offer and hope to have over 150 AC, but who knows what I'll end up with as I also saw a wonderful place that was was 1 AC with the best trout fishing imaginable.

Just give us the link to the $200 value that he offered up and see if there were any strings attached that would suggest some affiliate relationship. If my memory is wrong enough and he gave the website and opportunity directly then yes, there is no reason to suggest he was an affiliate.

Since the podcast is not visual, I can appreciate that my traveling to Las Vegas could be considered unnecessary, but I felt in the interests of those folks who might want to debunk me, they could sit in my hotel room and join me in person as opposed to calling in, which seems so impersonal. I would even splurge on a Starbucks coffee for them, which can go for up to six dollars downtown, in case they were in danger of falling asleep due to my sonorous tones.

Like you, I find these articles tend to flatter Johnson City way too much. The pollen counts here, for instance, can be terrible.
Interestingly, the state in which I grew up was a hot bed for professional handicappers and sports bettors. Gridiron Report, run by the late Dave Malinsky (a regular in Gaming Today) lived down the road from me, as did Donn Wagner of Alleghenies Analysis. In addition, the venerable, unmatchable James Vaccaro, the South Point legend, is from Pittsburgh. Probably something in the water -- we had a lot of rust-colored streams from the strip mining.

My gut tells me this show is never going to happen. Just because it has been drug out so long. I mean it is a call in show done remotely. If both parties wanted to do it it would have been done by now. Instead we get Redietz wanting specific dates so he can fly to Las Vegas, for a phone in show, and he is even talking about having invited guests in his hotel room for the call in show. Like everything with this guy, it has just become creepy and weird.
THAT said, I honestly hope it does come off and Red is able to account himself in a way that leaves no doubt as to who he is and what he has accomplished. I am hoping for that because my initial impression was that he was more or less being honest. I am not sure why he goes into all that 1983 shit though? :confused:
BUT, as time has gone on, my doubts have grown stronger based a couple red flags. The first were several years ago, when Red didn't seem to understand why advantage players battling with the casinos on a daily or regular basis, need to remain anonymous. That he doesn't get that, with his 100 days a year in Vegas for 40 years is just weird. But I chalked it up to he just does different things than advantage players do.
The second BIG red flag for me was his comments on EV. THAT one is hard to dismiss.
And #3, has been his recently, like last 6 months or so, getting so damned defensive and attacking APs with all the Leonardo da AP shit.
But again, I sincerely hope some of these things are just him being an old school sports bettor and doing things much differently than AP's do, in these modern times. I honestly would like confirmation that my initial read of him was correct, just for my own satisfaction.
